I have been looking forward to this new Warner Bros. Home Entertainment release for a couple months now, as I couldn't wait to sit down with the girls and share a fun animated version of the family favorite, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I have tried to show them the original movie but because it wasn't animated, they thought it was a big person's movie and didn't to sit for it. So, when I heard there would be an animated retelling of this movie and would include everyone's favorite cat and mouse duo, Tom & Jerry, I knew the girls would want to sit for it, as they love all things Tom & Jerry.

Don't think that this is just a retelling of the classic Willy Wonka movie. It isn't a Tom & Jerry movie without their hijinks and this movie is filled with their comical cat and mouse antics. Just check out the clip below to see what I am talking about.
What I love about this movie is it an animated version of one of my favorite childhood movies, paired with one of my favorite cartoons. What more could you ask for! :-)
I loved this movie, and so did my girls. We have only had this DVD for a short time, but we have already seen it half a dozen times, and the girls keep asking for it. It is also a perfect movie to bring in the car for car rides as it keeps the girls entertained and not asking "Are we there yet?".
