Draw, color, cut, and bake creations—
and watch them shrink to less than half of their original size!
Who doesn't love Shrinky Dinks? Shrinky Dinks was my favorite arts and craft activity to do as a kid. And, I love when products like this can last the test of time, and can be shared with generations. Now that I have a family of my own, I can share Shrinky Dinks fun with my girls. And, it lets me relive my childhood while I make new memories with my girls. :-)
In addition to the other Klutz kits I shared earlier today, I was also sent their Klutz: Shrinky Dinks Book to review with my girls. Next to the face painting kit, this was my girls next favorite Klutz kit we were sent.
More about the Klutz: Shrinky Dinks Book:
"Shrinky Dinks® is amazing shrinkable plastic. Draw or trace a design on it, color it, cut it out with ordinary scissors, bake it for mere minutes on a cookie sheet in your oven and, presto, your creation shrinks to a third of its original size. What you do with it from there ? jewelry, magnets, frame, decoration ? is up to your own creative genius. You get six sheets of Shrinky Dinks® plastic in this book, along with a mind-boggling collection of ready-to-trace, ready-to-color, ready-to-shrink artwork."
Comes with: 38 page book with more than 30 pages of traceable art, 6 sheets of shrink plastic

This was the first time my girls experienced Shrinky Dinks, and they had a blast. We were careful to use the 6 sheets wisely, so that we could make enough shrinky dinks per sheet. And, before the fun was over, I headed over to Amazon to order refill sheets, so we could continue the Shrinky Dinks fun another day -- which we have since our original play with this book.
What I loved about this Klutz kit is that it included 30 pages of ideas for creating your own Shrinky Dinks art that you can use for bracelets, zipper pulls, greeting cards and more. I used to turn my Shrinky Dinks into bracelets. I never thought of other ways to use them. So, it was great to get these ideas from this book.
My youngest daughter, Bella, has already made a few pairs of earrings using Shrinky Dinks sheets and ideas she found in this book, to give to friends and family this Christmas. And, Savannah traced a few images which she turned into a birthday card for Bella's 5th birthday this Thursday. Can't wait to see what she thinks of her handmade Shrinky Dinks card.
Fans of Shrinky Dinks, both young and old will love the Klutz: Shrinky Dinks Book. It will provide hours of Shrinky Dinks fun. And, if you have children or grandchildren who have never experienced Shrinky Dinks, this is the perfect introduction to the world of Shrinky Dinks. My girls have become fans, and I love being able to share one of my favorite childhood activities with them. Each and every time we sit down at the table to create our Shrinky Dinks art, I feel like a kid again. :-)
Disclosure: I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.
