Introducing the new Northern Lights Elsa Doll...
Even though Frozen come out back in 2013, it is still going strong in the toy department. And, since its release, Frozen toys continue to make their way to the top of toy wish lists and are instant hot toys for the season. And, this holiday season is no different. If you have a fan of Frozen in your house...who doesn't...then you may have seen the Disney Frozen Northern Lights Elsa from Jakks Pacific on their wish list. Both of my girls have it on theirs and continue to add this to this requests when we see Santa out and about and he asks them what they want for Christmas.
I have lost count on how many Frozen dolls, especially Elsa ones that my girls have. But, when I ask them why this one is different from the others, they are quick to give me the rundown for the features. :-)
First off, this doll has magical Snow Queen powers Bella tells me. And, the powers are activated with the interactive snowflake that is included with the doll. The magical snowflake when waved in your hand in front of the Elsa doll will activate a beautiful light show on her dress, as well play a song. The light show is filled with vibrant colors that are reminiscent of what you expect from the famous Northern Lights.
In addition to the amazing Northern Lights light show on Elsa's dress and her singing "Let it Go," fans of Frozen will be delighted to learn that this doll says 40 phases in both English and Spanish. My girls loved switching between the two languages and hearing Elsa speak in Spanish. Their Daddy is from El Salvador, so they are part Latina, and are learning Spanish. So, thanks to this cute doll, Elsa is helping them hone their Spanish speaking skills...well, at least they can say a handful of popular Elsa phrases in Spanish. :-)
I am always amazed at the dolls that the folks at Jakks Pacific put out as they are always done with such great detail, from the sparkling eyes on dolls like those seen on the new Northern Lights Elsa doll, right down the dress (which in this doll's case is simply stunning). The only downfall of this doll that I can think of as parent (as it doesn't bother my two girls) is that you can't bend or move Elsa's legs. The body is hard plastic to encase the light show and sound components of this doll.
But, girls can play with and style Elsa's hair, and bend and move about her arms, which makes for imaginative play that much more fun and enjoyable.
My girls were so happy when they saw the new Northern Lights Elsa Doll arrive on our doorstep the other day, and couldn't wait to tear open the box and play with it. And, since then, I haven't seem them go anywhere without it. We have even had to watch the Frozen movie again as Elsa sat on the coffee table to watch. And, when the "Let it Go" song came on, the girls were quick to get up and push the jewel on her neck to play the song. :-)
So, if you are looking for a gift to give that special Frozen fan in your life, why not pick up the new Northern Lights Elsa Doll, which arrived in stores last month. And, be sure to tune in to the Disney Channel on Dec.9th when LEGO Disney Frozen Northern Lights premieres (see trailer below for more information on this new Frozen mini movie).
