It's National Nachos Day!!!!

Looking for a reason to celebrate today...besides it being Friday and all?  Well, did you know that today is National Nachos Day?  I only found out about it a week ago, but made a point to prepare so that we can celebrate today.  You see, both of my girls are picky eaters, and nachos is one of the few things they will eat -- that is, if I pair it with fun toppings like black beans, shredded cheese, tomatoes, etc.  And, if I get the right mild salsa, they can spend an hour at the dining room table dipping away to their heart's content.  :-)

While many families have certain nights for a particular dinner...Wednesday is Pasta, Friday is Pizza, etc., we do nacho night at least once a week, twice if we are having a crazy week and the girls are less than thrilled to give additional food options for meal time.  But, thanks to RW Garcia and their line of artisan tortilla chips, I don't have to think twice when the girls ask for nachos for dinner, as these chips are made with Non-GMO corn, contain no trans fat and are gluten free.  We recently found out that our youngest has a mild gluten allergy.  When she eats in excess, it makes her eczema flair.  So, we have been looking for foods that are gluten-free that taste good and that she will eat.

After being sent a box of RW Garcia MixtBag chips the other day, everyone in our house is now a fan.  I remember seeing these on the store shelf in the grocery store, but never thought to pick them, as the girls were set in their ways with the tortilla chip brand we were previously picking up for them.  But, after finding out about Bella's gluten allergy and wanting to offer a more healthier tortilla chip, I was excited to learn about and be able to sample MixtBag chips from RW Garcia.

Don't ask me which variety the girls or I liked most, as they all tasted great and had us reaching in the bag for another and then another, until the bag was empty.  Thankfully, the market is right down the street and I was able to restock so that I would have RW Garcia MixtBag chips on hand for today's National Nachos Day. :-) If you are still trying to decide on dinner tonight or looking for a break from cooking for the week, why not stop by your local grocery store and pick up a few bags of MixtBag chips from RW Garcia, along with your favorite dipping sides, like hummus, nacho cheese, guacamole, salsa, bean dip, etc.  Go crazy with your dips -- you have an excuse to double dip as today is National Nachos Day and anything goes. :-)
