It felt like Christmas the other day for the girls when the mail came, as they received a big box filled with all sorts of Peppa Pig goodies. If you follow my blog, then you know that my girls are huge Peppa Pig fans, and love helping me review anything and everything Peppa Pig, including toys, books, DVDs and even clothes. And, if this wasn't enough, they were over the moon excited when I told them last month that Peppa Pig is coming to town in November for a live show (learn more here: http://www.peppapigliveus.com/). They have been counting down the days, and Bella thinks that it is only fitting that the show is taking place on her birthday weekend! :-)
So, what was in the box you ask? We received these fun new toys that are going to make summer play time that much more fun with the girls and their friends...
As soon as I took it out of the box, Bella scooped her up and gave her a great big hug. Then, she started planning a muddy puddles adventure outside with Peppa, to try out her rain gear attire. Too bad there was no rain in the forecast. But, with a garden house and blow up pool, we had muddle puddles galore -- which made for a great time for the girls and their new Rainy Day Peppa. I ended up having to buy another of these dolls so that Savannah could have one, as Bella didn't want to put her down - even brought her to bed, in the car and to the potty. :-)
Savannah was quick to grab the copy of “Peppa Goes Swimming” from Scholastic. Even though she hasn't started reading yet, she loves to flip through her books and tell a story based on what she sees.
And, she has been having a ball coming up with fun summer time swim stories thanks to this book from Scholastic. The book has also become a staple at bedtime and always has the girls reaching for pages to flip back to and linger enjoying the fun colorful illustrations featuring Peppa Pig and her friends and family.
As far at the Peppa Pig Tree House Play Center with Ball Pit from Better Toyz, I wasn't sure if the girls would be able to fit in the ball pit as they are getting bigger, and this looked like a toy for little ones.
But, where there is a will, there is a way, and they squeezed themselves into the ball pit, and have been having a blast with it. Parents be warned, this pit comes with about a dozen or so plastic balls, which will probably end up outside the ball pit, so we ready to pit them up time and again.
After a few go arounds of this, I ended up just scooping up the balls and storing them away, as the girls have been using the ball pit as a fort of sorts, and bringing all their Peppa Pig toys and dolls in with them.
The girls sure did have a blast trying out the brand new Peppa Pig toys. They always seem to be putting out great Peppa Pig toys, that the kids will continue to play with and not get bored with. My girls have yet to tire from these toys and book, and I don't see them doing so anytime soon. And, who knows, maybe Savannah's upcoming birthday party with be Peppa Pig. She keeps switching back and forth, but thanks to these new toys, she is leaning more toward to a pink Peppa Pig themed party with piggy cupcakes and more. :-) Stay tuned.
Do you have a Peppa Pig fan in your house? If so, and are looking for upcoming birthday gifts, just because gifts or even starting your Christmas shopping early...next month is Christmas in July -- then, you'll want to check out these and other wonderful Peppa Pig merchandise now available in stores and online. And, if you really want to put a smile on that special Peppa Pig fan's face, why not see if the Peppa Pig Live! show is making a stop in your area, and order your tickets now. We have seen some of the other recent live shows featuring the girls' favorite television characters, and they have been really entertaining. We can't wait for the show and to see what Santa brings the girls Peppa Pig related, as they have already started their wish lists, and half of the list is Peppa Pig things. :-)
