This past Mother's Day weekend, my parents came to visit.  Not only did the girls get to spend time with them, but I got to watch a few chick flick movies with my mom, like we used to do when I lived at home years ago.  It was so much fun being able to watch a movie after the kids went to bed, without interruption, and have someone sitting with me who enjoyed sappy love stories. :-)

The first movie that we watched was WHEN CALLS THE HEART: TRIALS OF THE HEART COMES, which is releasing on DVD on May 26th from Shout! Factory. You may have seen episodes of this hit romantic drama, which aired on the Hallmark Channel.  If you love strong independent female characters with a love stories and struggles being the central core of the plot, then you will love "When Calls The Heart: Trials of the Heart." 

Fans of the show will be excited to hear that the show has returned for Season 2 this past April 25th.  Both my mom and I have been tuning in and talking about the episodes after each viewing. :-)  But, with our crazy schedules we did miss a couple of episodes from Season 1, so this DVD release came at a great time, so that we could watch some of our favorite episodes and see ones we missed.
