In addition to being April vacation for many kids this week, it is also National Princess Week. :-) Do you have a special princess in your life? I have two little princesses who light up my life each and every day -- my girls, Savannah and Bella. :-) XOXO
So, I will definitely be celebrating them this week, and having a few extra princess dress up and tea parties with them. And, to help the girls celebrate National Princess Week, the kind folks at JAKKS Toys sent them a box of goodies on Friday, which included a Belle from Beauty and the Beast Princess Dress and matching Tiara, as well as a Cinderella Doll. Out of my two girls, my youngest, Bella, is the girly girl. She just loves to get dressed up, right down to putting on her heels and pretend makeup.
So, when she saw me take the Belle dress and matching tiara out of the box, she was quick to claim them as her own, as this was one Disney princess dress she didn't have. :-)
This beautiful dress up costume is only $19.99 and available at most major toy retailers
The Tiara is only $7.99 and available at
Kohls, Target, Kmart, Walmart and Toys 'R Us stores, as well as Amazon
Savannah didn't mind, as she saw the Cinderella doll and wanted this to play with.
She has been hosting tea parties in her room and setting up her dolls and stuffed animals at bedtime to "read" them stories -- it is cutest thing. :-)
The girls wondered why they were receiving the Disney Princess dress and doll. I told them that this upcoming week (April 20th) was National Princess Week, and these were gifts to help them celebrate being my princesses. :-) That is when they both ran over to me and gave me great big hugs and covered me with kisses. :-) Before I could get up from the ground, Savannah had a great idea...why not spend the weekend watching some of their favorite Disney princess movies. I told her this was a great idea, and let them pick out two movies each to watch. Savannah chose Tangled, which features Rapunzel and Snow White. Bella, on the other hand, chose Beauty and Beast so that she could dress up in her new Belle costume and wear it why she watched the movie, as well as Cinderella.
When we weren't out enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend (finally a couple days of 70 degree weather), we were snuggling up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn watching Disney princess movies. Both my girls were wearing their favorite Disney princess gowns and had their hair up. And, in between the movies we took breaks to have a tea party or to get a Daddy/Daughter dance in. :-)

These dresses are so adorable I sure wish they had these when I was little and I love the shoes too.
