Finally the grass is starting to show through all the record snow we had here in CT this past winter.  And, I can even see the tulips start to sprout up out of the ground.  So, you know what that means...first warmer temperatures, and then summer.  I tell you, with all the snow we have been having -- averaging about 2-3 snow days a week between Dec. and February and the cold temperatures, I am happy to finally have the warm weather here...better late than never. And, with the warmer temperatures means that we can finally put away the winter clothes and start pulling out the spring/summer clothes for the family.  

Usually, I will try and buy clothes in the off season to save money, but have found that the past few seasons the girls have grown by leaps and bounds, and the clothes that I did buy didn't fit when that season rolled around.  So, instead of saving on off-season clothing, I found myself having to shop again for the next size up and donating the unused clothes.  This spring and the summer, the girls are going to be in need of a new wardrobe, as they only have a limited number of outfits that I was able to save from last season, that will still fit them now.  Can you believe that Bella, our youngest, who is 15 months younger than Savannah, has been wearing the same size clothes as Savannah since she was a year old.  I had hoped that we would be doing hand me downs with her, but instead, I am double the clothes of the same size, so that they have enough outfits to wear between them, in their favorite colors and character designs.  And, shh, don't tell Savannah, but Bella is a couple inches taller than her, so I am expecting Savannah to be getting hand me downs in the future. :-)

Knowing that I would have to buy clothes for spring and summer for the girls, and in need of an Easter dress for them, I knew the first place to shop...Carter's.  I have been shopping here since I found out I was pregnant with Savannah, and continued to shop there, because of the amazing deals and sales they have year round, as well as the top quality clothes and wonderful assortment for both boys and girls from birth to size 12 in kids.

The girls were so excited when they saw their summer sandals, glitter shoes and athletic sneakers.  I even found Savannah trying to bag up shoes that she fits in now to donate, just so she had space for her new shoes on the shoe rack. :-)  I couldn't believe when shopping in the comfort of my own home, how many shirts, shorts and pants I was able to buy, and how much I had saved overall -- my checkout receipt said I said over $180 days.  Yes!

And, now for the fun part.  The girls helped me model their upcoming spring/summer clothes for me to share with you.  It was fun as Bella is starting to get into posing for the camera and loves to make funny faces.  Savannah, on the hand, a pro at this, couldn't wait to do a wardrobe change, so that she could model another outfit.  :-)

As you can see with the photos above Carter's has some great clothes for kids this spring/summer.  I am loving the fun patterns and prints for kids -- florals for girls and new classics for boys (i.e. stripes & schifflies), and Bella can't take off the neon yellow seahorse and matching shorts.  She said she found her new favorite color! :-)
