You Have a Fresh Smelling House-- Why Not Have the Same with Your Car? #FebrezeCar @SheSpeaksUp #sponsored

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Febreze.  However, all views shared are mine and mine alone.

You may recall me sharing a post last summer about being noseblind to smells in your house.  If you missed my post, you can read it here: http://www.inspiredbysavannah.com/2014/07/what-scents-do-others-smell-when-they.html.  Well, I am back talking about odors that you may not know are present, not in your home, but this time in your car.  Yes, your car.  Way for before I had kids one of my favorite things to do on the weekend was to take my car to the car wash to clean it, inside and out.  I prided myself on a clean car, and one that was tidy.  Because it was just my husband and I, there were no toys, food crumbs, etc. laying all over the place.  I wouldn't even let people eat in my car, as I didn't want to worry about them making a mess or spills to occur.  Never did I have to worry about car odors caused by stale food, body sweat, vomit, etc.

Fast forward to today and now my car (aka: the family car) has two car seats in the backseat and the floor and seat covered with toys, crumbs and god knows what else.  Now when the weekends roll around the last thing I want to be doing after a long week with the girls is cleaning the house or my car.  Thankfully my car doesn't have feelings as it really would feel neglected and embarrassed -- neglected because I don't baby it like I used to with my other cars pre-children, and embarrassed as it can smell odors that my family and I have grown noseblind to.  Sorry, car. :-(

Last week was the start of a mini heat wave here in New England...well 40+ degree weather in winter, so we decided to take full advantage of the nice weather and spend the weekend driving out and enjoying time outside with our girls.  Everything was going well until Bella said she wasn't feeling well.  Before I could turn around and look at her, Savannah was yelling from the backseat that Bella was throwing up -- all over herself and the backseat. Ugh. Driving on a busy highway with exits spread far apart, it felt like forever until we could pull off the road safely and change Bella into clean clothes and try to clean up the car as best we could until we got home.

Boy, did this incident wake us up to the many different smells a car can have.  One minute we were enjoying the crisp fresh air outside as the windows were rolled down, and the next we were trying to not gag on the lunch Bella threw up all over the back seat.  It seemed like when she threw up, she triggered all the other smells in the car, and we started to smell stale fries, musty rugs, you name it.  Then, like the car was probably feeling, I, too, felt embarrassed, as it took Bella getting sick for me to realize our car was smelly and we didn't even know it.  Have you ever felt this way?  Come on, you can admit it. :-)

When we arrived home from our adventurous day out, I saw a package left at the door.  I couldn't help but laugh when I opened it, as this was what was inside...

And, if this above packaging wasn't enough, the folks at Febreze included a board game and window clings, as well as stickers that you could use to decorate this red convertible car.

This product review ended up becoming a win-win for the whole family as the girls got stickers to decorate the car with, we had a fun board game to play for family game night and our cars once again have that just cleaned car or even better -- new car smell, thanks to the Febreze Car Vent Clips. :-)

Perfect timing, right?  We sure could have used the Febreze Car Vent Clips while waiting to turn off the highway and for what felt like a long car ride home in a stinky car.  But, Sunday after the family car got pampered at the car wash with an exterior wash and carpet cleaning and vacuuming inside, we added the Febreze Car Vent clip in Midnight Storm (one of many scents available in the Febreze Car Vent Clips line) to the car.

Febreze Car Vents Clips Midnight Storm Air Freshener (2 count; 2 mL each)

The vent clips are easy to install and clip directly into your car's air vent in the dashboard (or even backseat area if you have vents there, too).

Within a matter of minutes the car began smelling fresher, thanks to the Febreze Vent Clip.

You control the amount of scent that flows from this air freshener, so that the fragrance strength is always pleasant for you and your passengers.

Here is a great tip for those upcoming cold winter AM's that we are expecting next week -- love how Mother Nature plays tricks on us with nice weather one day and cold the next -- when you need to defrost your car, attach a Febreze Vent Clip to the defroster vents to cycle warmth and freshness!  Not only will you be defrosting your car, but when you get inside the car, you will be welcomed with a fresher car, that you and your passengers will enjoy.

With the warmer weather fast approaching and more car trips in our future, I will definitely be making sure I have more baby wipes on hand for spills and accidents like we had last weekend, as well as Febreze Vent Clips attached to the front and passenger vents.

I have only been using the Febreze Car Vent Clips I was sent for a about a week now, but already notice a difference each and every time I get in the car.

The scent is not overpowering and the car really does smell cleaner and fresher.  Stinky food wrappers, stale food and other PU smells have no place in my car thanks to these amazing vent clips that work and are affordable.  At only $2.97 for a single back or $4.97 for a double pack, you can't go wrong for the price.

Once you try these car vent clips from Febreze for yourself, you will wonder why you ever put up with a stinky car -- that is if you weren't noseblind to the smell.

It really is embarrassing when you have someone ride in your car and ask what that smell is?  Once you start using Febreze Car Vent Clips, you will hear this, but they will be asking about the vents because they love the fresh scent and want it for their car. :-)
