The girls sure do love helping me around the holidays to review products and share their thoughts on great gift ideas for other kids. And, while Easter is not as big a holiday as say Christmas or their birthday, it does mean that they will be surprised with a basket full of goodies from the Easter Bunny. While we are still a couple of weeks away from Easter, the girls did get a surprise Easter basket in the mail the other day from Peppa Pig...well, not really Peppa Pig, but you can't tell them otherwise.
Think your child is a big Peppa Pig fan? You should see one corner of my girls' playroom, which is filled with Peppa Pig toys.
And, don't ask them about their DVD and book collections, as they would run all around the house gathering up their entire collection, and then talk your ear off about each. :-)
I couldn't even get the whole basket out of the box before the girls made a mad dash for the box and started fighting over who got to hold it first, and who would get what. Thankfully, there were two t-shirts in the basket and snacks that they could both share, as well as these other funny Peppa Pig goodies...
I knew that the girls wouldn't be able to wait until Easter to open the basket, so I told them that if they played nice and worked out who would get what shirt, toy, book, etc. without fighting, that they could open it. They both couldn't contain themselves and jumped around the living room as they giggled and let out Peppa Pig snorts. :-)
Here are the girls showing off their new Peppa Pig t-shirts, which you can buy at Target right now for only $7.00, before they modeled with them on. :-)
These would make for a fun lunch box snack or even goodie bag treat for a child's Peppa Pig themed birthday party. Both of my girls agreed that these chocolate chip cookies tasted great. And, before they were done playing with their new Peppa Pig stuff, the box of chocolate chip cookies were gone.
One item I did have to go online and order another one of was the Peppa Pig coloring pouch. Savannah had grabbed it first, but I knew Bella would have wanted one of her own. So, I made a point to put this one away until the other one that I had ordered off Amazon had arrived. And, once it did, the coloring pouch, with crayons, a coloring book and sticker sheet, sure did keep the girls busy. They filled my refrigerator with their finished artwork, and had a few pages left to decorate their bedroom walls with. :-)
I was surprised that the girls played nice with the Peppa Pig Family 3-inch Figures playset, which you can purchase from Toys 'R Us for only $12.99.
They even kept the box in good shape to use the kitchen backdrop as a play scene.
And, here is Savannah sharing the new Peppa Pig book she received in the basket with Peppa and her family
After seeing this basket of goodies, Savannah was finally able to make her mind up...she is going to have a Peppa Pig birthday party in July. She wants me to get more cookie boxes and coloring pouches, as well as other Peppa Pig party supplies, for her and her friends to enjoy. And, she is hoping for more Peppa Pig toys -- figures and plush friends -- to add to her and Bella's growing collection. :-)
If you have a Peppa Pig fan in your life, why not surprise them this Easter by picking up a few of the above items to fill their basket with. My girls were over the moon excited to open the basket of Peppa Pig goodies, and haven't stopped playing with them. And, they ask every day to wear their new Peppa Pig shirt -- so, we are doing a lot of washing and re-washing. :-)

What a wonderful idea for an Easter basket. I love the t-shirts they are too cute.
