Help Make a Difference in the Lives of Moms and their Unborn Children Today by Supporting Kangu #IC #KanguMama #Sponsored

Disclosure:  I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central and Kangu. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Can you imagine getting ready to give birth to your child and not having access to clean hospital and/or trained professionals to deliver your baby?  Bringing a baby into the world is supposed to be a joyous occasion, but for many moms that is not the case.  Without proper trained professionals and facilities, about 800 babies die each day.  As a mom to two healthy girls, this is hard to hear, and I can only imagine what the moms of these children who are no longer with us deal with each day as a result of their loss.  Out of the 800 babies who die each day, did you know that 90% of these are preventable, thanks in part to hospital and clinics providing life saving care to pregnant women.

A fellow mom, Casey Santiago, who found out about the devastating statistic of maternal deaths and how most could be prevented, wanted to help, while also making others around the world aware of this.  So, what did she do?  Leave it to a mama to create a 501(c)2 non-profit organization to help raise funds to help support healthcare services for moms all around the world, through crowdfunding.  But, like most non-profits, they can't do it alone, and need your help.  With your donation -- big or small -- you will be helping lower the number of preventable maternal deaths, so that a mom can bring her bundle of joy home, like she should.

I personally love helping crowdfunding projects, start ups and mom and dad entrepreneurs get their prototypes or ideas off the ground.  This is one reason I began my blog back in 2008, and started by spotlighting mom and dad entrepreneurs.  I loved hearing what great ideas other parents have come up with, let it be a product or an organization like Kangu, that benefits people all around the world.  So, when I heard about Kangu a few weeks ago, I couldn't wait to visit their website and donate money to help this amazing cause.  I, for one, was saddened to read the statistic -

"Each day, 800 women and 8,000 newborns die because they lack access to basic healthcare services, like a trained professional and a clean facility. These deaths are nearly entirely preventable. Through Kangu, you can connect with and support a pregnant woman's healthcare costs so she and her baby can survive and thrive."

I, like Casey Santiago, Founder and CEO of Kangu, had to do something to help these mamas.  Like you hear, every little bit helps, and in this case for many of these moms, even a small monetary donation of $10 or more can help fund healthcare for mom and baby.

And, your donation will help add another successful baby story to Kangu's growing database. Many of the Kangu Mamas are from countries including India, Nepal and Uganda, where most live in dense urban areas or even remote urban areas.  Living below poverty lines, they are scraping by in terms of feeding, clothing and  providing shelter to their families -- usually less than $2 a day per family.  So, you can imagine that access to proper neonatal and pregnancy services is beyond their reach.  But, thanks to Kangu and folks like Casey, these moms can have access to healthcare services for a safe birth and healthy baby -- which we expect all moms and babies to have access to.

"By leveraging the Internet, Kangu lets you directly support on-the-ground medical partners providing extremely cost-effective healthcare services."

What I love about Kangu is that you can follow along read the stories of Kangu Mamas seeking funding, as well as their birth stories after a successful delivery.  I love seeing my donations go to good use and actually be used for good and not just marketing or promotional costs.  With a tax deductible donation to Kangu, you know your money is going to help a mama and her baby, and you'll be provided with updates.

Want to help?  It is easy.  Simply visit www.kangu.org and make a donation today.  While there, read some of the success stories and see the many Kangu Mamas and their healthy babies that are profiled on the organization's website.

You can't help but smile when you see the babies.  This alone makes me want to make more people aware of Kangu and how even just a small donation can help the lives of mamas and their babies all around the world, one pregnancy at a time.

Let's join together, along with Casey Casey Santiago, Founder and CEO of Kangu, and help lower the number of preventable maternal deaths each day, by provided the much needed health facilities and services to pregnant moms.  I commend Casey for creating Kangu and helping so many moms in need.  She truly is an inspiration, and I am so happy to have found out about her organization and been able to help out by donating and spreading the world through my blog post, social media and conversations with friends and family.

Please help me in sharing more about Kangu with your family and friends, and helping Kangu Mamas today.
