The Motorola MBP36S Video Baby Monitor is the Only Baby Monitor You'll Need + It'll Grow with Your Child #MotorolaBabyMonitor #CleverGirls #Sponsored

Finally, a Video Baby Monitor That Exceeds My Expectations...
The Motorola MBP36S Video Baby Monitor
(Available at Target for only $239.99)

This past weekend we celebrated Bella's 3rd birthday.  Right before Bella's birthday, she finally decided she was done with diapers once and for all and started to use the potty on a consistent basis.  It is funny the timing of this, as this is the same way it happened for Savannah (but, for her it was right before her 4th birthday).  After trying potty training with the girls and then letting them do it on their own, I am finally excited to see the diapers go away.  Bella is still wearing pull ups at bedtime for the time being until she learns to stay dry in the night, but no more having to pack a diaper bag with wipes and diapers, or find a changing table in restaurants or out and about.  Oh, and don't get me started on how much we will be saving on diapers.  When both girls were in diapers I was spending $150-$200 on diapers.  Luckily, they are the same weight, so I was able to buy diapers that fit them both.  What to do now with the monthly savings?  Maybe a trip next summer to celebrate the girls becoming "big girls"?  :-)  We will see.

In addition to Bella being potty trained, we also took down the baby gates we had at the bottom and top of the stairs on each level.  While the girls had learned to scale the bottom stairs gates, they knew to stay away from the gates at the top of the stairs, as it was dangerous.  But, now that they are getting older and can go up and down stairs on their own, we don't need them anymore.  I will not lie, I teared up as we took down the gates and stored them away, as it was another reminder that the girls are no longer little anymore.  While I can try to protect and shield them from things, they will want to spread their wings and explore on their own.

With the new found freedom of no gates blocking the staircases, I have found the girls are roaming more throughout the three levels of our house.  They have a playroom on the top floor where their bedrooms are, as well as one in the basement level.  So, they move throughout these floors each day.  At first I was following them to make sure they were not getting into things they weren't supposed to, but after a few up and downs I realized, I, too, was not as young as I used to be, and would get winded and need to rest my tired legs.  What was I to do -- I needed to keep an eye on them, but I also had to let them feel like they were "big girls" and could play with limited supervision in their playrooms.

I was recently sent a Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor to review, which I have been using it in the girls bedroom at night-time.  Out of all the baby monitors we have used since welcoming the girls back in 2010 and 2011, I have to say that this is by far my favorite.  Having been impressed with the features of this 2-way camera for bedtime monitoring purposes, I knew that the Motorola Baby Monitor would also be perfect for helping me keep an eye on the girls while playing in their playrooms, as I could communicate with them and correct them if they were doing something wrong, without having to go up and down stairs, and they could talk to me and ask for things.  Neat, huh?  I sure do think so!

Because I still want to keep a baby monitor in the girls' room at bedtime as they sleep on the floor above us, I ended up picking up another camera (Model: MBP36BU) to add to this baby monitor unit.  You can add up to 4 cameras per unit (each sold separately), which makes this the perfect baby monitor to grow with your child.  Now, I have a camera in their bedroom to monitor them when they are sleeping, and another in the upstairs playroom.  We will be picking up another camera now that the girls are moving throughout the house and using the basement playroom more and more.  I love that I will have "eyes" on each of the rooms they play in, and can see everything in color.  I don't know about you, but having a full color LCD screen is much better than the black and white videos you usually find with baby monitors. You really can't make out things in black and white, especially at bedtime, as it is a blur. This is what first caught my attention when we tried out the Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor and the reason why I am adding cameras to extend the area usage, instead of reverting back to older baby monitors we used to use in the past.

In addition to the clear picture on the LCD monitor, I also love how quiet this camera is, as it moves around.  Other cameras we had before were loud or would beep when panning in the room or when trying to zoom in, which would always wake our two light sleepers.  And, with the 2x auto zoom, you can really see what is going on in a room, especially at nighttime.

When it comes to choosing a video baby monitor many people look at the overall battery life, and if the monitor has to stay plugged in at all times.  With the Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor, you can keep it plugged in on your dresser, or unplug and bring it with you during the daytime.  We always keep the baby monitors on our dresser or end table at night time, but I like to unplug it and bring it with me when moving about throughout the day, especially now that the girls are also moving from room to room.  If you do unplug the monitor, expect the battery to only last about 4 hours. So, if you plan to keep it unplugged for an extended period of time during the day, expect to have to recharge it halfway through your day.

Another great feature that I take full advantage of is the 2-way communication, where you can talk to your child through the monitor, and hear everything that is going on, with great clarity.  A major plus compared to other baby monitors we had that picked up frequencies and neighbor's cordless phone banter, or were scratchy when the girls were making noise, thus making it hard to make out what they were saying or doing.

Other great features of the Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor baby monitor include an out-of-range alert, a room temperature display, a sound level indicator and a low-battery alert. While I don't use this feature, there are five lullabies programmed into the monitor to help you calm and lull your little one to sleep, it would have come in handy when they were little, instead of putting on a lullaby CD or leaving a plush lullaby toy next to them to lull them to sleep, only to have to take out of the crib when they fell asleep.

As you can see the Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor is chock full of impressive features which make this one of the best video baby monitors on the market.  I am pleased with my experience thus far with it, and continue to rave about it with family and friends and during mommy and me meet ups when I hear other moms talk about being frustrated with their current baby monitoring systems.

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to review the Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor, and am putting it to good use.  You would think that as your children become toddlers and preschoolers and aren't in cribs any more you don't need to use a baby monitor.  I find that I am relying on these more than ever as I know when it gets quiet in the house that the girls are up to something.  And, with a quick glance at the full color LCD screen that I can see what they are doing and correct them with the two-way communication capability, if needed.  I also get to tell that lunch or dinner is ready, or respond to them if they have a question, without having to stop what I am doing or walk up and down stairs to find which room they are in.

Now, when I get an invitation to a baby shower for family and friends, I know what I will be giving as a gift -- a Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor.  Having personally spend hundreds of dollars on baby monitors over the years, only to be disappointed with their performance or have them break on me, I can finally say that I have found the best baby monitor out there.  And, at only $239.99 (available at Target) you can't go wrong for the price, as this baby monitor's features are ones that parents are always looking for and will appreciate.

With the holidays fast approaching, why not consider picking up the Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor, which is available at Target, to surprise a new/expectant mom?  I wish I had this baby monitor back when the girls were babies, as it would have saved me time in researching the best baby monitors out there, and headaches when others stopped working or didn't perform the way I hoped they would.  Don't have your friends and family deal with the same headaches I and so many other parents of little ones experience when finding the best baby monitor.  The Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor is the only baby monitor they will need or want -- and, it will grow with their child, which I love!

You can buy the Motorola MBP36S video baby monitor online at Target or at a local Target store.
