Since starting to share about being on the Nutrisystem My Way Select Favorites program, I have had a few readers message me and ask about the types of food offered, and if they were really that good. So, today, I thought I would share more about what foods are sent with each shipment, as well as how they look, as we know that sometimes stock photos from a company's website can be deceiving.
And, it just so happened that I was gearing up to write this post that I received my last month's food shipment in the mail. For the past couple of months, I was sent two shipments each month - 1 box of frozen meals and 1 box of foods you didn't have to freeze or refrigerate. From day one, I couldn't get over the assortment of food offered, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack time and dessert. I don't know about you, but I love my snacks, especially ice cream and chocolate. So, I was a little worried at the start of the plan how my sweet tooth cravings would affect my success on the plan. But, after seeing the types of foods offered and trying them and loving how they taste, I was excited to see where the 21-week Nutrisystem My Way Select Favorites journey would take me.
Here are photos of what I was sent in the frozen food box -- I will share photos of the other box in my next post. Look at all you get, that will last you a month. I personally love how I don't have to make a special trip to the market to buy additional food while on this diet plan - Everything is included, right down to the snacks and desserts.
Here is the cooler chest packed to the brim with a month's worth of Nutrisystem frozen food...
Here is a sampling of the types of breakfast foods you will find when taking part in the My Way Select Favorites program from Nutrisystem...
And, here is the lunch offering...
Dinner entrees...
And, we can't forget dessert...
Here is a photo of all the food that was included in the freezer chest. As you can see, it fills my entire dining room table. And, this is only the frozen food box. There is all the other box that is sent that includes non-freezer/refrigerator foods.
And, here are some photos I took to show what the food looks like when cooked up.
While the photos may not do the food justice, everything I have tried so far is so good, and doesn't taste like diet food.
I am super excited to be trying the new seasonal items being added to the Nutrisystem menu, including the following - (clockwise) Caramel Apple Muffin, Banana Chocolate Chip Bread, Caramel Flavored Pretzels, Toffee Crunch Cookies, Snickerdoodle Cookie and Pumpkin Loaf -- will be available to customers this fall.
To learn more about Nutrisystem, its plans and menu items, or to order, visit www.nutrisystem.com.
I can't wait to dip the Snickerdoodle cookies into my hot chocolate, or snack on caramel flavored pretzels. This is the time of year when the kids are asking for trail mixes or more baked goods. Now, I can offer them up tasty treats while not sacrificing my own sweet tooth. :-) And, with Thanksgiving fast approaching, these new seasonal items will make my experience at the dessert table a little easy, as I will get to enjoy tasty treats along with the rest of family, without feeling like I am missing out.
Stay tuned to my next post, where I will share what you get in the non-freezer box each month, and show more photos of what the foods look like actually cooked.
