Holiday Gift Guide: The Beatrix Girls Dolls Empower and Inspire Girls -- Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure:  I was sent a Beatrix Girl doll in exchange for an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

I never knew just how popular The Beatrix Girls were until I started talking about these dolls and hosting giveaways the past two months.  These two giveaways have seen over 2500 entries each, and have been shared countless times on different social media channels.  I guess my girls are not alone in loving these hip, stylish dolls. :-)

Are the girls in your life fans of The Beatrix Girls?  If so, which is their favorite?

If you ask my girls, they will give you a different answer each and every time, as they love all of them.  And, depending which of the dolls they are playing with at that moment -- that doll is their favorite!

With so many music and talent shows on television nowadays, it was only a matter of time before they came out with pop star dolls for girls to play with.  While they have had pop star dolls available in the past, there is something about The Beatrix Girls dolls that sets them apart from the others.

I first became aware of The Beatrix Girls last Christmas when shopping for my then 8 year old niece.  She had Ainsley and Chantal on her wish list.  Not knowing what these dolls were, I took to the Internet to do my research, so that I was looking for and purchasing the right dolls for her.  I found out that The Beatrix Girls dolls, a line of collectible pop-star dolls driven by original music. The Beatrix Girls are the whole package.  From original music and video webisodes to fun digital experiences for fans of all ages to enjoy, The Beatrix Girls dolls engage and inspire girls -- which as a parent, I love to see when purchasing toys for my kids and relatives.

"With one-of-a-kind personalities, The Beatrix Girls band members Brayden, Ainsley, Lark and Chantal live and interact in the human world—producing real music, real hits, and real fans—kids can collect their music, join their fan club, and vicariously live the fantasy of being a pop-star through play."

In addition to the two dolls my girls already had thanks to Santa, I was recently sent the Ainsley from The Beatrix Girls Collection for them to help me review and enjoy. Not only are the dolls themselves flashy and hip, but the packages they come in are unlike other doll packaging I am used to.  Each of the Beatrix Girls dolls comes in a sparkly box, adorned with a bow.  You can peer into the clear packaging to see the doll, a stand to display it with, as well as a musical instrument unique to that doll.

With the Ainsley doll, her drum set was included in the box, along with the stand.

Because my girls still don't like to share, I ended up ordering another doll off of the Toys "R" Us website, so that they would each have their own Ainsley doll to play with.

Having played with dolls as a kid, I was impressed at how far toy companies have come, especially when it comes to the detailing of the packaging and dolls themselves.  The Beatrix Girls' outfits are stylish and come in bright bold colors that really draw your attention.  And, the fun instruments really make for fun imaginative play with little ones.  My girls would pretend to make drum noises when playing with their Ainsley dolls.  This doll has also become the most popular to play with when my girls are having play dates or playing with their dolls.  And, Ainsley has already taken a few trips to Savannah's school for show and tell or simply to tag along and hang out in her backpack, so that she can show off to her friends.

With Christmas right around the corner, my girls are already asking for more The Beatrix Girls dolls and fun accessories to add to their growing collector doll collection.  I wonder which girls Santa will bring?  :-)
