The Snowman
One crisp, winter morning, a young boy wakes up to find a thick blanket of snow has covered the ground as far as the eye can see.  Filled with excitement, the boy decides to build a snowman using a tangerine for his nose, coal for his buttons and eyes, and tops him off with a hat and scarf.  Later that night, at the stroke of midnight, the snowman comes to life!  The young boy and the snowman embark on a magical adventure of discovery where the snowman explores the young boy’s world and in return he takes him flying to his home in the North Pole.  Based on Raymond Briggs’ book, The Snowman is a family classic for generations to enjoy.

Filmed live at New York City's The Beacon Theatre, celebrate the season with the colorful cast of characters singing their hits, including "It's Wintertime," "Every Snowflake's Different, Just Like You" and a holiday version of everyone's favorite "Party in my Tummy! The DVD includes special appearances by superstar Leslie Hall and the one and only Santa Claus!

Octonauts: The Very Vegimal Christmas
On this very merry DVD, join the Octonauts as they celebrate the holidays! The Vegimals’ plans for a Christmas feast aboard the Octopod are interrupted when the Octonauts become entangled in a gigantic blob of sea snot! The holiday excitement continues when the Octonauts travel to Professor Inkling’s childhood home, an undersea mountain, but soon discover that a rockslide has endangered the local creatures, including Inkling’s nephew, Squirt!  Can the Octonauts rescue the creatures and save Christmas in time?

Caillou’s Holiday Movie
When winter comes to Caillou's house, this curious 4-year-old tackles all kinds of big boy activities like helping Daddy shovel snow, making holiday presents for his family and even discovering how other little boys and girls around the world celebrate the season!  Filled with magical moments seen through a small child's eyes, this delightful story will enchant your entire family.

I was recently sent each of the above DVDs to watch with the girls and have been having a blast finding new holiday favorites that will be watched time and again.   Out of the four DVDs, I found that each of the girls had their own favorite, as did I. I am partial to "The Snowman," which I grew up watching as a child.  This classic story about a boy and his snowman never grows old, and is a movie to watch as a family to kick off the holiday season, as you wait for the first snowfall so that you can make your own snowman.

As for Savannah, she couldn't get enough of Yo Gabba Gabba!.  After taking her to see their live show this year, she has been hooked on this show, singing and dancing along to their catchy tunes, and even asking for their books to be read at bedtime. I knew that when she saw this holiday DVD, which is a recording of one of their live holiday shows that took place in NYC.  Even if you aren't a Yo Gabba Gabba! fan, you can't help but find your foot tapping as you watch this 1 hr. long live holiday performance, which features holiday songs including "It's Wintertime," "Every Snowflake's Different, Just Like You" and even a fun holiday spin on the my girls' favorite Yo Gabby Gabba! song, "Party in my Tummy," which will surely get everyone off the couch and dancing along. :-)  Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that Santa Claus himself also makes an appearance.  Both of my girls got so excited when they saw Santa appear and interact with the Yo Gabba Gabba! characters.

Bella, on the other hand, has been hooked lately on Caillou after stumbling up it on Hulu and PBS Kids when Savannah is at school.  So, she was quick to snatch up this DVD and ask to watch it -- over and over again.  This hit animated series for kids is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, so it was only fitting for a holiday DVD to be released.  And, I am so glad that it was, as it makes the perfect addition to our growing Caillou DVD collection.  This DVD is filled with over 80 minutes of already aired Caillou episodes, as well as fun bonus features including an interview with Caillou himself and two holiday songs your kids will love singing along to --  "8 Days to Go" and "Caillou's Christmas Song."  We have only had this DVD for a couple of weeks, but I have already lost count on how many times the girls have watched it at home and in the car.  But, I don't mind, as I also love this cute 4-year old, who loves to explore the world around him.  The girls have learned so much from this show, and I love the interaction Caillou has with his little sister, Rosie.

So, if you are looking for some great DVDs to watch with your preschoolers as you gear up for the holidays, why not consider picking up one or more of the above new NCircle Entertainment releases.  They are all reasonably priced, making them perfect to pick up and add to your family's holiday collection, or to give as a gift.
