This is a luck-based game that kids and adults of all ages will love to pay over and over again.

If this game looks familiar, you probably played some variation of it during your childhood, as this game has been around since the late 70's. After showing my mom photos of the girls playing the game and telling her how much they loved it, she quickly pointed out that my brothers and I had a similar one that Santa brought us in the 80's. It was a favorite of ours, too, and would be pulled out time and again on rainy days, family games night or just because.
Even though we have only had this game for almost a couple of weeks, our family game night last week has lasted all week, as the girls keep pulling it off the shelf and asking my husband to play it. Right now, as I am typing up this review, I can hear them downstairs laughing and giggling as they insert their colored swords into the barrel holes, to see who will make the pirate jump out of the barrel. :-)
Although you know that the pirate will jump out, you can't help but get a little startled when he does. This makes it fun, as you watch everyone's reaction to the pirate, before yelling, "You are out!"
If you love family game nights, or have little ones and want to get them excited about games, this is the perfect game to pick up. Like I said, it is a luck game, so no skill is required. Players (2-4) take turns inserting their colored swords into the holes of the barrel until the pirate pops out. When he does, that player is out, and the game is played again and again until there is one player left, who is crowned the winner. :-) Fun, right? It really is! I can't wait to finish this post, so that I can join in on the fun that I am hearing. This is one game that will not get boring, and will be pulled out and played time and again. In my book, these are the best games to have, as they grow with the kids, and even adults have fun playing with it, too!
You can order Super Pop-Up Pirate from TOMY from Amazon.com for only $24.99. It is recommended for children ages 4+, plus our almost 3 yr. old daughter, Bella, loves this game just as much as Savannah. And, when we are not playing as a family, the girls love to pull the game out and play together. :-) This would also make a great game to give as a gift this upcoming holiday season, too!
Disclosure: I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.
This looks like a lot of fun for the kids we all love pirates here thanks for sharing this one.
