How has school been going for your and your kids? Yesterday, we found ourselves sleeping in and having to run around to get the girls and I ready, and then drive 20 minutes to her preschool. We ended getting there 20 minutes late, and then I had to deal with Bella getting sick in the car on the way home. I am learning that with school comes illness. We are only 2 weeks into school and now the girls and I are laying in bed with head colds and achy bodies - not fun. Have your kids picked up a bug yet? It doesn't help with the crazy weather we are having either here in New England. A couple of weeks ago we had 2-3 days of dry muggy weather where the kids were wearing shorts, to the next few days bitterly cold and only in mid 50's, low 60's, where the kids needed long sleeves, pants and a jacket.
Luckily, knowing how unpredictable the weather is here, I didn't put away the girls' summer clothes just yet, even though I had made a point to pull out their fall clothes. And, this school year, Savannah's fall/winter clothes were purchased at Zappos.com. You may remember me sharing a few weeks ago a post introducing you to Zappos.comand talking about how this is the perfect online one stop shopping for every member of your family, especially your kids and their back to school needs. I first stumbled across Zappos.com a couple of years ago when I was taking my niece and nephew clothes shopping, with Savannah who was 2 and Bella was just a baby. If you have ever shopped with kids, then you know how stressful it can get. If you are not holding onto to them, or they are not in shopping cart, you will find yourself chasing them through the store -- making shopping and concentrating on the task at hand nearly impossible. I shared in my previous post about a changing room incident, which not only was embarrassing, but has turned me off from clothes shopping with the kids. This event led me to shopping online and stumbling upon Zappos.com. And, since then, I haven't gone back to the stores for Back-to-School and holiday shopping for the kids.
This year I had Savannah sit with me and help me pick out clothes for Back-to-School. Who knew that preschoolers had to go school shopping. See, I am learning as we go. :-) Out of my two girls, Savannah is the fashionista and loves to shop. She could spend a whole day going shopping from store to store if I let her. :-) And, with the recent cold streak we have had, Savannah has been having fun wearing the different outfits she picked out. I ended up picking similar outfit in different colors so that Bella could dress like her big sister. Even though the girls don't like to share, when one gets something, the other wants to have it, so I have to make a point to buy two of everything still, including clothes. Maybe down the road when they get older they will be sharing each other closets and I will not have to buy two of everything. Crossing my fingers. But, in the meantime, I like the convenience of shopping Zappos.com for my family's clothing, shoes and accessory needs.
Included in the above photo is the following, in case you would like to purchase for your child/grandchild:
Roxy Kids: Brookyn A Hoody (Toddler/Little Kids/Big Kids) (Blue) -- Currently Out of Stock
In addition to Savannah's "Back to School" clothes, I also bought matching penguin backpacks from Zappos.com, and two pairs of sneakers for them.
And, within 2 days of ordering, my order from Zappos.com arrived and the fun began. Whenever we get something new in the house, the girls are quick to ask if I am reviewing it or if they need to pose for pictures. Ahh, the life of a blogger. :-) So, when they saw the clothes, they were it was for a review feature, and were ready to help model the clothes for photos. Here are some of my favorite photos of the girls showing off their new clothes for Back-to-School that we got at Zappos.com -- all for under $300, the budget I had set for the two of them -- this includes backpacks, shoes and clothes.

Do you find yourself shying away from ordering clothes and shoes online, especially for the kids, as you don't want to worry about them not fitting and having to pay to return back for a refund or exchange. Well, Zappos.com offers FREE SHIPPING and FREE RETURNS. I learned this the first time I ordered from them and had bought a pair of shoes for Savannah that were not wide and a size too small. After a quick call to the 24-hour Zappos.com customer service line , I had a pre-paid label emailed to me and I had the box ready to be returned. Upon receiving my shoes, they sent a replacement pair that fit. No hassle returns and exchanges -- you can't ask for anything better, for busy moms on the go, like myself.
If you have never shopped Zappos.com, I would highly recommend them for your one stop hassle free online shopping. Say goodbye to fighting with the kids to stay in the shopping cart, or from not running off when are you trying to find sizes on the shelves. Instead, wait until they go to bed and then log on to Zappos.com and do your shopping in the privacy of your own home. Then, sit back and wait for your order to arrive. And, like I said, if you receive something that doesn't fit or you don't like, simply return back to Zappos.com FREE OF CHARGE. Try saying that with other online stores you may shop at.

Nice clothes and like the free shipping too. My kids, like yours, was sick just a few days after starting school. Bad colds, cough, they felt weak and sore throats. I have 5 kids so I had to get many bottles of cold/cough meds. Seems one bottle lasted just one day with all of them getting every 4 hours.
ReplyDeleteI love their stuff I think it is so cute and original and high quality and I love free shipping.]
