Introducing the NEW GB Zuzu Lightweight Stroller -
Exclusively Available at Babies R Us

"On-the-Go Convenience and Comfort"

Even though my girls are 2 and 4 yrs. old, I still rely on a stroller when taking them out to attraction, public events, or even up the hill.  My 2 yr. old is still at the stage that if not strapped in, she can make a run for it in a matter of seconds. And, she sure can run fast!  Right now, both of my girls are around 34 pounds, so when it comes to things like strollers, I need to make sure that not only do the strollers accommodate their weight, but that when they are sitting in the strollers, that they are comfortable for them, and easy for me to push and maneuver around.

Over the past couple of years, we have gone through over 5 different strollers.  From the first stroller we had for Savannah that let us snap the car seat into the seat and then later remove for simple stroller, to the double side by side stroller, followed by the single strollers.  While I liked the first stroller that accommodated our car seat, it was clunky and took up a lot of space in the trunk.  And, don't get me started on how much it weighed to lug around.  This was not something I could carry along with the baby in the car seat from location to location, if I had to.

One of our major baby gear investments was the double stroller we bought, which set us back over $400.  We thought that because it was a side by side stroller it would be easier to push the girls around and only one of us would have to do it.  But, we never thought about how big the stroller would be, and how hard it would be say, shopping in a store and having to navigate through narrow aisles, or using on a small sidewalk, which never seemed to have enough room for our stroller and/or other pedestrians walking in the opposite direction. This stroller, too, also took up a large chunk of our trunk space, which has seemed to get smaller and smaller due to diaper and changing supplies, the girls extra car toys, the diaper bag, etc.

After growing frustrated with the hassle of the double stroller, we decided to invest in 2 single strollers.  This time we spent around $250 a stroller, thinking that buying a name brand would bring ease of use and long life and use.  Boy, were we wrong.  Just after a month of using, the wheels and braking locks on one stroller would stick or become loose, and always have to be fixed or adjusted.  We were bringing a mini toolkit just to have in case we were out and about and needed to fix the stroller.  Not fun at all, especially when you have toddlers who want to go go go.  Another thing we didn't like about these strollers was that even though they claimed they were for kids who weighed up to 50 pounds, my girls at the time weighed 28 pounds and we couldn't strap them in with ease.  Even when we loosened the straps to as far as they could go, the girls would continually complain about how they were tight around the crotch are, or pulling on their shoulders.  They were still too young to go unstrapped, so we had to start our stroller search over again, to find a stroller that would work for our family's on-the-go needs.

About to give up our stroller search, I was asked to try out and review the new GB Zuzu Stroller - Fuzion, which you can only purchase exclusively at Babies “R” Us stores and BabiesRUs.comfor only $199.99, with free shipping to door (and, if you have Shoprunner, it can arrive in 2 days, with free returns).

Having struggled for months trying out and returning other strollers that didn't seem to offer the comfort and ease of use we were looking for with our girls, I wasn't expecting much from the GB Zuzu stroller.  It is times like this when I am not setting my expectations high that I am wowed.

Just taking the GB Zuzu stroller out of the box, which I had delivered right to my door for convenience, I couldn't get over how lightweight it was, at about 18.7 lbs. This lightweight stroller also boasted the following features and specifications:

Back when the girls were babies, I had purchased and used the Chicco Keyfit 30 travel system with both girls.  While I loved the car seats and ended up buying additional bases for my car, my husbands and even my parents, I wasn't a fan of the big, bulky stroller.  I always found myself struggling to fit the car seat into the clips in the stroller, and it was a pain to pull the car seat off the car seat when I had to.  I oftentimes found myself waking the girls up just tugging to get the car seat detached from the stroller.  Oh, how I wish the GB Zuzu stroller was around when the girls were in the car seat, as I can from using it and experimenting with the old car seat, that this stroller makes it easier to attach and remove the car seat with ease.  I can't tell you how many times out of frustration or stress from a fussy baby, that I opted to lug the heavy car seat with baby in it around, instead of taking the stroller along, to prevent headaches.

Having been using lightweight strollers from different brands over the past few years, I was able to compare  the pros and cons of this new stroller and the other we had used in the past.  When it came to listing the cons, I couldn't think of any.  As for my pro's, I could talk your ear off on these, as they were a lot.  But, to keep this post short, I will say that one of my favorite features were the storage basket, which my other strollers lacked or they were hard to access of even store things like a diaper bag, supplies, etc. in.  Another favorite feature was the finger activated slide fold for easy opening and closer.

I can't tell you how many times I had to ask store attendants when browsing strollers how to open them, as they seemed like a puzzle.  And, when I found myself stressed or running late, I always had issues opening and closing my strollers.  So, it was nice to see this quick and easy finger-activated slide fold.  And, like I shared in the features above, this new stroller self stands when folded.  This is one feature I have been looking for, without much luck.  With my girls older and Bella still antsy and liking to run off, I need a stroller than stand up when closed, so that if I have to quickly grab Bella or put her in the car, I am not stumbling to try and hold up the stroller after closing it.  I have a few scratches on my car from other strollers I had leaned against it falls or slipping down, when trying to get the girls fastened in their car seats before putting the stroller away in the trunk.

The girls each took turns using this stroller, and both commented on how comfortable the seating was.  They didn't have metal poles from the stroller frame poking them in the bottom or back.  And, when it came to strapping them in, it was a breeze.  I can see this stroller accommodating a child up to 50 lbs easier, which I love, as I know this stroller will last a few more years, while the girls continue to grow.  Another great feature of this stroller is its 360 swivel wheels, which let you maneuver with one hand, or quickly stroll through crowded areas with ease.

Like I said, I could go on and on listing my pro's on the GB Zuzu Fuzion stroller, as well as why I love this stroller so much.  And, because I still have two girls in strollers, we have ordered another one so that the girls don't have to fight over who gets to the ride the comfy stroller over the other lightweight strollers we have.

If you are expecting or a new mom, or are in need of the perfect baby shower gift, I would highly recommend the GB Zuzu stroller.  At under $200, you can't go wrong for the price, for a stroller that will hold your baby's car seat, and then act as a light weight stroller as they grow, up to 50 lbs.  This stroller is not only easy to carry around, open and close, but also doesn't take up a lot of room in the trunk compared to other travel systems or lightweight strollers.  To learn more about the GB Zuzu stroller, visit the GB Website or the GB Zuzu Product Page  (Sold exclusively at Babies R Us stores and the BabiesRUs.com website)
