My Thoughts:
This is a wonderful DVD to share with little who are both fans of Dora, Blue's Clue and other popular Nick Jr. shows, or are at the age they that they are eager to learn about patterns and shapes. While Savannah has been in preschool, I have been enjoying one-on-one time with Bella as we watch the five full-length episodes that make up this new release.
Bella gets excited when she sees her favorite characters appear on the screen, and then settles in for snuggle time as we enjoy each episode, while calling out the names of shapes or pattern sequences to help her friends solve problems. Each and every episode is engaging for young viewers, and can be enjoyed over and over again -- I know as Bella has already watched this new DVD in its entirety over a dozen times and is not bored yet.
Then, when Savannah gets home from school, Bella loves to share what she has learned, as they sit down together to watch Blue's Clues, Team Umizoomi and the others from this 138 minute DVD. Overall, as a parent, I love these Nick Jr. shows as they are entertaining and keep little ones engaged, while also teaching them new things like patterns and shapes. Bella doesn't know she is learning, until she starts calling out the answers to questions her on-screen character friends ask. I love seeing her eyes light up and a big smile appear on her face each and every time she says the correct answer.
With the holidays fast approaching, this DVD would make for a perfect stocking stuffer idea, or to take along for long car rides, to keep the kids entertained.
