Are you finally breathing a sigh of relief now that you are done school shopping? Or, are one of those people who gets a few outfits for the kids to start the first off with, and then go back out afterwards to finish shopping, as you don't want to deal with crowds, fussy kids, or just the thought of back to school shopping and the stress that it brings? Just the other day I got together with a few girlfriends and over coffee we shared some of our back to school horror shopping experiences. At first I thought I was alone in dreading school shopping -- even though as a kid I loved going to the outlets and buying new clothes. Now, I can see why after a few stores, my mom was ready to call it quits, and my dad would stay home or sit in the car and sleep or listen to the baseball game.
For the past few years, before I welcomed my two girls, I would help with Back-to-School clothes shopping for my niece and nephew. I never thought that preschoolers needed a new wardrobe, but I was quit to learn this then, and was recently reminded of this, as Savannah will be starting preschool next Tuesday. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. My baby girl is now 4 yrs. old and a preschooler. :-( While I am sad thinking about her going off to school for a few hours, I was quickly reminded about the stress I experienced a few years ago school shopping, and make a point to do all my shopping for the second year in a row at Zappos.com. If it wasn't for a Google search a few years ago for a name brand hoodie I saw at a high end retailer, I don't think I would have stumbled across Zappos.com. But, I am so glad that I did, as I not only got the hoodie and matching lounge pants I was eyeing and that was out of my price point, but I saved in the process. You can't beat a sale, and every day you will find yourself saving at Zappos.com, especially during the Back-to-School shopping season, which most parents dread.
Over coffee my girlfriends and I shared our horror stories of back to school shopping with the kids. From kids fussing from the get go to them trying to crawl out of the shopping cart, or older ones taking the cart and leaving your with armfuls of clothes, to my own story of how my niece, who was 6 yrs. old at the time, went into the dressing room to try out clothes, and how as I waited for her to come out and model them, she was crawling from stall to stall scaring those trying on clothes, until he walked out of a dressing room with a mom and her two boys. I was so mortified, as she was half naked, and thought it was the funniest thing. From that point on, I was done with trying to play circus wrangler and keeping the peace when it came to picking out and agreeing out which outfits to get. Instead, I took down the kids' sizes and started to shop online. But, with so many sites out there, it became time consuming to browse and price check each one to get the best savings, while also being able to buy name brand clothes.
So, when my personal shopping search led me to Zappos.com, I became an instant fan and have been using this one stop shop for both my everyday needs for work and casual clothes for my husband and I, as well as back to school shopping for the kids. And, come the holidays, Zappos.com is the first place I check for winter coats, boots and outfits for the kids. With Zappos.com you don't have to browse other online stores trying to find everything you need all in one place to save on shipping costs, as they offer everything and more all in one place.

Then, I just sit back and wait a few business days for the clothes to arrive, with FREE SHIPPING. And, remember, they also offer speedy shipping options so that you can get in time for the first day of school. :-) I am happy to say that my shopping for Savannah and Bella is done, thanks to Zappos.com. Here is just one box of clothes that I was shipped, with another on the way, that will send them back to school in style.
Included in the above photo is the following, in case you would like to purchase for your child/grandchild:
Roxy Kids: Brookyn A Hoody (Toddler/Little Kids/Big Kids) (Blue) -- Currently Out of Stock
(Stay tuned as I will share photos of the girls wearing their new clothes, while sharing more about Zappos.com in a couple of weeks.)
Savannah will start preschool next Tuesday, and as soon as Bella is potty trained (we are almost there), she can join the 3 yr. old class -- so, I am pre-planning and shopping early so she is ready for school in style, like her big sister.
I have to say, I LOVE their matching penguin backpacks, which they picked out. They wanted to have the same backpacks, and even chose the same Roxy hoodie and pants sets -- just in different colors. :-) I guess sisters think alike when it comes to what's in style. :-)
So, if you are finding yourself still trying to get last minute items for your kids, like shoes, backpacks, or just a few more outfits, why not visit Zappos.com and browse their current back-to-school offering? You will not be disappointed. And, I know that once you experience a quiet and peaceful online shopping experience with them, you will wonder why you have put up accumulating your own personal horror stories from taking your kids back to school shopping. Come on, we all have them.. Some may be funny now, but at the time, you either wanted to crawl into a shell, or wish you were some other place. Now, you just need a computer, the Zappos.com website and a hot cup of coffee and tea, as you sit back and doing your family's shopping online, all in one place. :-) Enjoy!
