It is funny how kids seem to change with the seasons. Last summer, the girls loved being outdoors once the warm weather arrived. But, this year, Savannah, our drama queen would much rather stay indoors where it is cool, or wait until later in the day when the sun is "not too hot." Bella, while she still loves being outdoors, will copy whatever Savannah does -- so, if Savannah wants to stay in, Bella does, too. The only thing, though, is that Bella doesn't like the loud sounds of the window AC's we have. This wasn't an issue last year, but then again, she was only a year old, and not talking much. As soon as we put in and turned on the AC's this past June, she started saying, "too lousy; please turn off." And, while you hate to upset a child and have them fuss, you also don't want the house to get hot, thus upsetting everyone. So, what are you to do?
Thankfully, the folks at Honeywell offer a line of tower and table fans that are quiet -- I mean you can't even tell that they are on, unless you were the one who put it on. I never thought a fan could be so quiet, yet cool down a room -- but, the Honeywell HY-108 QuietSet® Whole Room Tower Fan that we were recently sent to review does just that. It is really amazing! See, little things like a quiet fan get me excited! :-)

Having two little ones who love playing with buttons and remotes, I wasn't sure how they would be around a tower fan. But, because this fan is so quiet, they, too, forget that it is on and will leave it alone. :-)
In regards to space, this tower fan is really compact and can fit in a corner of a room and still have room to circulate air back and forth. I personally love being able to choose between the different levels of quiet -- 8 in total.
And, because Bella doesn't care for AC noises, this tower fan is light enough to carry between rooms. During the day time I have it set up in the living room to cool down our medium sized room. Then, right before she goes to bed, I will bring the Honeywell QuietSet® Tower Fan HY-108 up into her room and turn it on, to cool down the room. Once she goes up to bed, she drifts off to sleep thanks to the soothing "white noise" feature. This is another get and unexpected feature of this amazingly oh-so quiet tower fan.
I am so happy to have found this QuietSet® Tower Fan from one of my favorite brands, Honeywell, as it has really saved the day and kept us all cool this summer, while also keeping the loud AC noises away, for our little one. Maybe next summer she will not mind the noise. But, if she does, we will have this and the other QuietSet® Tower Fan we recently bought to keep in the girls' playroom ready, to keep the rooms we are in cool and comfortable.
Not a fan of the noisy window ACs or hate having to lug them out of storage and carrying them up the stairs to place in the window? Why not consider picking up a QuietSet® Tower Fan from Honeywell to keep your living spaces cool during the hot summer months?
Like I said, these fans are not only quiet (think a whisper), but they don't take up much space and are lightweight for moving from room to room as needed. You, too, will be amazed at how well this QuietSet® Tower Fan actually works. The size and appearance alone will make you wonder if it can actually cool a medium to large size room. But, speaking from personal experience, it really does. Just ask my friends and family, as I can't stop raving about it, and showing it off whenever they come to visit. If I don't tell them the QuietSet® Tower Fan is on, they would never know. One neighbor that came over recently thought that I had put in central air, as the room was cool, but she didn't see a window AC or fan. I had to point out the Honeywell QuietSet® Tower Fan to her, before demonstrating the 8 settings. :-)
