When the fall and winter months roll around, I make a point to stock up on hot chocolate, to heat up when I need a hot beverage. But, when the summer is upon us, I love making my family fun frozen drinks. Not only do they help cool everyone down, but they are a great way to stay hydrated and always seem to satisfy a sweet tooth. I don't know about you, but I find it hard to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. Even if I add in lemon or other fruits to give the water flavor, I just don't find it appealing in the sense that I want to reach for a glass of water over and over again throughout the day. But, I know the importance of staying hydrating, especially on hot summer days. And, for me personal, if I don't stay hydrated, I find myself getting headaches, which seem to last a few days. So, to make sure I am taking in the necessary amount of liquids, I like to find fun, refreshing drinks that I will enjoy, and that I can share with my family.
A recent search for frozen drinks led me to Frozen bean and their extensive line of beverages. You probably haven't heard about them, as they are a leading manufacturing of specialty desserts and beverages available to folks in the food service industry.
"We use only the finest ingredients sourced from around the world, delivering products that far exceed the market in taste and quality. Our research staff has developed delectable blends of specialty desserts and beverages that are simple to make and served as your own gourmet treats."
But, after reaching out to them, I was excited to be given the opportunity to review a sampling of their Frullati Premium Drink Mixes, which includes flavors like Mango, Pina Colada, Black Raspberry, Coconut and even Strawberry Watermelon, as well as a couple creme blends and their Toffee Coffee Ice Blended Coffee mix.
The kind folks at Frozen Bean also offered to let me run a giveaway in conjunction with my review, so that one lucky reader can try a sampling of their Frozen Bean product line, like the one I was sent to review (read on to learn how to enter and win).
In addition to their popular Frullati flavors, Frozen Bean also offers powdered mixes for...
- Ice Blended Coffees
- Chai Teas
- Creme Blends
- Frullati
- Carnival Blends
- Ice Teas
- Base Mixes
- Sip & Dips
Just look at all the different flavors they offer in the above drink blends...
I don't know about you, but I could have a lot of fun trying out each and every flavor, and offering up my opinion, while asking for seconds! :-)
Out of the assortment of Frullati drink mixes sent, I have to say my personal favorites included Pina Colada, Watermelon and Coconut. My girls were fans of Strawberries and Cream and Honeydew Melon, and have asked me time and again if I have more Frozen Bean mixes of these flavors to make more. Close runner up included Mango, which was my husband's favorite, and Black Cherry, which was popular at our 4th of July BBQ.
When you think about frozen drinks, you have a favorite in mind? I, like so many others, love frozen coffee drinks during the summer, as well as those that can be made with and without alcohol. Being a stay at home, I can't whip up a mixed drink on ice whenever I feel like to enjoy, so I like to find find refreshing frozen treats that the girls and I can enjoy. We had a blast sampling the difference frozen drink mixes that I was sent from Frozen Bean, as did family and friends who visited during Father's Day and the 4th of July, where I served up Frozen Bean drinks to cool everyone down. And, my husband and I couldn't get over how tasty the Toffee Coffee Iced Frozen Bean blend was, which we sampled one AM after being up all night with the girls. This iced beverage was definitely a much needed pick me up we both needed, and enjoyed! :-)
I am so happy to have found Frozen Bean and will definitely be picking up more of their drink mixes. They really do come in handy when you want to make a frozen drink to enjoy while the kids play outdoors, to enjoy with your sweetie after a long day with the kids, or just a nice frozen treat for the whole family can enjoy. The mixes themselves are easy to prepare, usually just calling for water or milk, and ice, along with a packed of the powdered mix, that you will blend up into a smoothie consistency (depends on drink mix you use) in your blender.
Within a matter of minutes, you will have a restaurant quality frozen drink ready to serve up at home. Now how is that for convenience? I am loving it, as it is hard to get the girls all ready, load them in the car and wait in the hot sun at a drive thru to pick up an ice blended coffee or other frozen drink, to satisfy my sweet tooth. Instead, I simply reach for a package of one of Frozen Bean's many delicious smoothie, mocha frappe, Chai latte, and coffee mix flavors, and can make an ice blended beverage at home! Yum!
