About the Book:
"Did you know a traumatic brain injury (TBI) occurs every 18.5 seconds in this country? TBIs occur due to accidents and sports, and are also common in returning soldiers. Chances are you, or someone you know, has been touched in some way by this experience. The personal stories in this book, by TBI survivors and those who love and support them, will help and encourage you and your family on the road to recovery."

My Thoughts:
While I have not personal experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI), I do know a few people close to me that have. So, as I read this book, I couldn't help but choke up reading the personal yet oh so inspirational stories from people of all ages and backgrounds. From children offering support to a parent with a TBI, to those who actually have a TBI, but how the are moving forward with their life and share their personal journeys.
After I was done reading this book, I ended up passing it around to a few people I know, including one who is dealing with a TBI, but you wouldn't know if when you looked at her. And, everyone came back and said they cried, but were moved with each and every story. They were so real and moving and you couldn't help but want to give them a hug and tell them how proud you are for sharing their stories of inspirations or for those caregivers putting their lives on hold to help those close who need support during their time of need.
I would highly suggest this inspirational book for those who are caregivers of family and friends with TBI, as well as those who have dealt with TBI themselves.
