This year I am congratulating many friends and family who are graduating. While some are just starting out and graduating from preschool or moving onto middle school, there are a handful of close friends whose children are graduating high school and moving away to college. Luckily, I am still years away from this happening. Just thinking about it, I don't know what I will do if my girls want to move away to college. Now, as a parent myself, I can see how my parents were sad when out of their three children, I was the one who decided to move away to attend school, and then graduated and moved to CT.
With summer vacation in full swing, we have the next few weekends packed with graduation parties. In addition to thinking about what to make and bring to cookouts and gatherings, I still have to find just the right gift for those special grads in our life.
