Fun Indoor Game for Those Rainy Days -- Treasure Trax - The All-In-One Scavenger Hunt Game (Review) #TreasureTrax

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

My love for games began when I was a child and my family would have family game nights on Friday night.  We would order pizza and pull out a stack of board games to play.  Then, for the next few hours, everyone would gather around the dining room table and have fun playing games, laughing and enjoying each others companies.  These were the few rare occasions when my brothers and I would not be fighting with one another -- that was unless someone lost and was a sore loser...then, it turned into a night of do overs until they won. :-)  And, as I got older, I continued to gather with friends and family to play games, and was known as the board games queen in college. :-)  So, it was only fitting that when I had children of my own, that I introduced them to board games, too.  Just like when I was a child, we have a board games night on Saturdays.  Or, if it is raining outside and the girls are bored, we will pull out a few games to play.

One new game that has become an instant favorite with my girls is Treasure Trax by USAopoly.

AGES: 3-5
5-10 minutes of play time per hunt
MSRP: $19.95

"Treasure Trax is the all-in-one scavenger hunt game for preschoolers that makes every day an adventure! As an active, play ‘n learn game where kids search for clues, Treasure Trax is perfect for daily exploration, a rainy day or anytime you want to keep your preschooler active & entertained."

Included in the game box is the following:

  • 60 Adventure Cards
  • 30 Location Cards
  • 18 Clue Cards
  • 12 Jungle Animal Cards
  • A Personal Explorer Scavenger Bag

As a parent, the first thing that caught my eye when I saw the Treasure Trax game is that it came with a handy bag to store all the pieces.  I love not having to worry about missing pieces, especially when we are in the midst of a game and realize we don't have all the pieces to continue game play.  Not fun!

I also loved that this game was a fun think and seek made with preschoolers and even toddlers in mind. Together, Savannah and Bella formed a team and tried to figure out the different clues, as they raced around the house looking for the next card.  And, once they found it, they added it to their bag, and moved on to the next clue.

Not only is this a fun game to play, but it is great to get little ones thinking and staying active.  I never saw my girls move around the house so much, than as they did while playing this indoor scavenger hunt game.  Parents will not have to worry about kids getting bored with the game, as you can switch up the clues and locations you hide the cards each and every time, making every game unique and new.  When they stumble across the final clue, you can leave them their favorite toy, or a special prize.  This is the icing on the cake when it comes to playing this game with my girls, as they can't wait to see what is left for them at the end. :-)

Treasure Trax by USAopoly has come in the handy the past few days, as it has been raining on and off here in CT.  Instead of opting to sit on the couch and watch a movie, the girls have been asking to play Treasure Trax.  I love seeing them get excited as they begin their indoor scavenger hunt and when they finish and have all the cards neatly stored in their bag, ready to store away for another day.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
