Re-releasing three DVDs of the evergreen family favorite!
"Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM) is releasing THE ADVENTURES OF RAGGEDY ANN & ANDY on May 13th as a COMPLETE COLLECTION featuring all 13 episodes, or as three single DVDs perfectly themed for kids and families of all ages.
Previously aired in the US on CBS (1988-1991), THE ADVENTURES OF RAGGEDY ANN & ANDY has remained a staple of childhood entertainment with a global products program including 45 books in publication and an induction into the National Toy Hall of Fame in 2002. Each DVD single will include four to five full-length episodes of the beloved children’s series.
Synopsis:
A little girl's Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls come to life when no humans are in her bedroom, and they are all whisked off to a parallel world to save its inhabitants from a villain sorcerer known as Cracklin. Also aiding Ann and Andy in their adventures are two of the little girl's other stuffed animals, a panda known as Grouchy Bear, and a stuffed rabbit known as Sunny Bunny."

My Thoughts:
As a child, I couldn't get enough of Raggedy Ann & Andy. I remember one of the first stuffed dolls that I was given was my mom's own Raggedy Ann &Andy dolls from when she was a child. And, from that point on, until I was around 8 or 9, I would go everywhere with these dolls, and need to cuddle with them at bedtime, in order to fall asleep.

Back then, I though the Raggedy Ann & Andy shows were the best thing ever. Now, try telling that to older kids today and they will be disappointed to see the basic animation without any bells and whistles like most animated series today. But, my girls are still young enough to want to sit and watch shows like this with me. And, I get to not only snuggle with them, but enjoy some of my childhood favorites with them.
Raggedy Ann & Andy is still popular today, as they continue to re-release stuffed dolls and even these upcoming DVDs for fans of yesteryear and today.
You have the option to buy the complete collection, which features 3 DVDs, or three individual DVD's which each feature 4-5 classic episodes. I ended up being sent the 3 individual DVDS, and have been enjoying watching the different full length episodes with my girls. Some of the them I remember, while others are like I am watching them for the first time, and a real treat. There is nothing like Raggedy Ann & Andy and seeing them come alive in Marcella's bedroom, and then take us on fun adventures in Raggedyland.

I love RAGGEDY ANN & ANDY. Me and my sister had the dolla when we where younger. We loved the stories! My grandma use to read us the books. This collection will sure bring back memories.
