My Thoughts:

Both of my girls instantly fell in love with this book even before I read it.  They were captivated by the cute cuddly farm animals on the cover.  And, as they flipped through the book waiting for me to come snuggle next to them on the couch to read it, I couldn't help but listen to their "ohhs" and "ahhs" as they saw the beautiful illustrations done by Steve Whitlow of the animals -- each one of them being one of God's blessings.

When I finally did sit down to read this sturdy board book to them (with a soft cover), I couldn't help but smile at all the baby animals as they played around in the springtime air.  Oh, how I wished it was spring so that I could get outdoors with the girls and experience all the beauty that God creates.  From new farm animals being born to others playing in muddy puddles or chasing butterflies and bugs, you can't help but appreciate and be thankful for all the God creates and shares with us.

This cute story with rhyming text will introduce little ones to different animals through sweet illustrations.  And, with the soft spring colors that are mixed throughout the playful scenes, you can't help but wish for spring to get here already.

So, while the kids are getting excited about Easter egg hunts and warmer weather, why not take a few minutes during the day or at bedtime to remind them about all God's blessings, especially as Easter draws near.  My girls continue to ask for this book at bedtime, and make sure to thank God for the different animals in their bedtime prayers. :-)
