My Thoughts on Kidfresh Frozen Kid's Meals:

Now I know how my mom felt trying to fee me as a child.  She always said I was a picky eater and now I get to experience this with my oldest daughter, Savannah.  Since we started introducing solid foods to her, it has been a battle at meal time to get her to eat.  Unless it is mac and cheese, hot dogs and fries, chicken nuggets or pepperoni, she rolls her eyes and says, "Yuck," as she pushes the plate away.  Arabella, on the other hand, loves trying new foods and doesn't give us a problem at meal time.  That was, until recently when "monkey see, monkey do," she started to copy everything Savannah did.  When she would see Savannah turn away food, Bella would do the same, even if she liked the food.  She wants to be like her big sister.

But, before I could pull out all my hair trying to get the girls to eat a well balanced meal, I found Kidfresh frozen meals at my local market.  For the longest time, I couldn't find these 100% natural and healthy frozen meals for kids in our grocery stores here in CT.

Only when I would travel to MA and shop there, would I be able to find Kidfresh's Wagon Wheels Mac and Cheese and their Totally Twisted Pasta + Meatballs meals.  These used to be Savannah's favorite when she was younger, so I couldn't wait to try them again with her and see if she would eat them.

Why choose between taste and nutrition?
Kidfresh frozen kids’ meals are packed with goodness:

  • 100% Natural, Nothing Artificial
  • Great Taste Kids Love
  • No High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • No Trans Fats
  • Hidden Veggies in Every Meal
  • Naturally Rich in Key Nutrients
  • No Artificial Colors, Flavors or Preservatives
  • Moderate in Sodium, Calories and Fat

In addition to the Wagon Wheels Mac and Cheese and Totally Twisted Pasta + Meatballs meals, Kidfresh also offers the following frozen meals ---

Each Kidfresh meal is prepared with hidden veggies that are pureed and snuck into each meal, providing up to 33% of a child's daily needs.  They are made with 100% natural ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

As a parent of a picky eater, I love knowing that I am able to sneak the much needed nutrients and vegetables that Savannah otherwise would not get while eating her limited menu.  And, best of all...she has no idea that veggies are hidden in the food.

So, what did Savannah think, after not having these Kidfresh meals for a while?  She loved them, and even asked for a second helping of the Kidfresh's Wagon Wheels Mac and Cheese.  I was surprised to find that she was also a fan of the Muy Cheesy Quesadillas meals, as she usually doesn't eat this when I make it.

Even though my local grocery now carries Kidfresh frozen meals, the selection is still limited.  I have yet to see the new Super Duper Chicken Nuggets and Rainbow Rice and Chicken meals to pick up and try with the girls.

I did mention them, however, to my parents who live in MA, so that they could keep an eye out for these Kidfresh varieties when food shopping and pick them up if they find them.

In the meantime, I will continue to pick up the different frozen meals from Kidfresh for my girls, and will feel good offering them these 100% natural ingredient and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives options for lunch or dinner.

If you struggle like I have been, trying to get your picky eater to try different foods at mealtimes, or are running out of ideas for last minute healthy meal choices instead of getting take out, why not look for and pick up a selection of Kidfresh frozen meals the next time you go food shopping?  With meals like Kidfresh's Wagon Wheels Mac and Cheese, Totally Twisted Pasta + Meatballs and Spaghetti Loops Bolognese, your kid will love these natural and healthy meals, that contain hidden vegetables. Shh, don't tell them, though. :-)
