“Dive into adventure with your favorite underwater explorers, the Octonauts! Join brave Captain Barnacles, daredevil ex-pirate Kwazii, and medic Peso Penguin, along with other Octonauts as they explore the world’s oceans, rescue the creatures who live there, and protect their habitats – above and below the waves! On this exciting DVD, Captain Barnacles leads a mission to rescue Dashi, who is trapped inside a giant whale shark, and Kwazii takes to the skies to retrieve a precious book from a school of flying fish! Peso tries to bandage a Great White Shark without becoming his lunch and much more! Plus – in a special extra feature, Tweak and Tunip tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the Gup-X! ”

Since receiving this DVD last week, my girls have already watched it a handful of times. Even though we own a few other Octonauts DVD, my husband had yet to see this animated series, and was in for a treat when he sat down last night to watch it with the girls. My husband, like the girls, like animated series like this that not only have fun story lines, but also teach children about things like marine life.
On and off land, the Octoanuts work together to help protect underwater creatures and their habitats. By working as a team, they are able to complete missions which always include a rescue. My girls were hooked the first time they saw this show on Disney Junior, and have been fans of the show since. Like I said, we own other NCircle Entertainment DVD releases of the Octonauts, and were excited to add this upcoming DVD to our growing collection.
If your child is a fan of this show, then you will want to make a point to pick up Octonauts: To the Gup-X! when it arrives in stores on 3/18. This upcoming DVD release would even make for a great Easter basket idea. :-)
And, to keep little ones entertained beyond this upcoming Octonauts DVD, why not print out handful of fun Octonauts coloring and activities sheets for them to enjoy? Click here to see the available Octonauts printable activities and coloring pages available from Disney Junior -- http://www.octonauts.com/goodies.html.
To go hand in hand with the bonus feature where Tweak and Tunip give viewers an in-depth look at the Gup-X, I had the girls color in the following Gup-X coloring sheet. Once colored, I played the bonus feature and had the girls point to the different parts of the Gup-X in their drawing. They loved seeing the Gup-X on television, as well as the one they colored. Now their very own Gup--X that now adorn our refrigerator. :-)
