Like most folks, I can say without hesitation that I am done with winter. With all the snow we have gotten -- the weatherman said this AM that we received snow 10 out of the past 19 days here in the northeast -- we have been dealing with ice dams that formed on our 3 year old new roof. As a result of these ice dams, we have been dealing with water leaking inside the house, and causing damage to the ceilings and walls of four of our rooms. Just yesterday, we had to run out to the store to buy more plastic buckets to catch the drips from the ceiling -- ugh. Now, to wait for the insurance adjuster to come out, survey the damage and decide what they will cover and not. All I can see is dollar signs and a lot of frustration, as now spring will mean weeks, if not months of renovations and repairs to the living room, and our three bedrooms. Renovations are always stressful, but when you have little ones and a lot of toys in the house, it is made worse. Don't you think?
Knowing that we will have to replace the ceilings in three of the four damaged rooms, I have started to look at affordable, yet appealing ceiling options. Who knew that Armstrong Residential Ceilings offered beatiful decorative ceiling styles -- that fits a range of budgets and décors and serve as easy and effective ways to give any room a face-lift.
We have a post and beam house, so we are limited to what ceiling options we can do, so that it doesn't make the ceiling look out of place. I am really liking this style --
"Armstrong products contribute to your comfort without sacrificing our commitment to the environment. From high light reflectance ceilings that can reduce the light fixtures needed and maintaining good indoor environmental air-quality, most of our ceiling products contain at least 24% recycled materials and some as much as 95%. We are proud to offer products that support the environment."
The visual of our 6” X 48” HomeStyle Country Classic Ceiling Plank provides an amazing country rustic look. These easy-to-install planks come in white or you can paint or stain them for the style you’re looking for. Apply it directly to the ceiling with Armstrong's Easy Up guaranteed installation system or adhesive.
This is another ceiling style that would look nice in our house --
Are you thinking about giving your house a style makeover? Why not consider a DIY ceiling makeover using Armstrong Residential Ceilings products. I watched a few of the videos on their website, and I have to say that the installation process looks easy...which is good for me as my husband is not a handyman.
