"Dog on Fleas has been performing and recording for kids since 1999, spreading their crazy, catchy musical vision to kids all over the world. They've won Parent's Choice and other awards, had their music played on various TV shows, performed countless shows and crazy stunts. Lead Flea Dean Jones has produced CDs for many kindie artists, even winning a Grammy for his work with the Okee Dokee Bros."
Buy One Get One Fleas from Dog on Fleas released back on 2/18 and is an adventurous
romp into the hinterlands and beyond. Mostly recorded with piano, bass
and drums, and some very energetic singing, this album also features a
few songs recorded with the Backyard Dorkestra, a ragtag band with
bassoon, piccolo, accordion, flugelhorn, sax, trombone, violin and
kazoos. Check out the bandcamp page to hear some of these songs. http://dogonfleas.bandcamp.com/album/buy-one-get-one-flea

We have been enjoying this 8th CD from Dog on Fleas for the past few weeks, and can't help but get up and dance whenever I put this CD on in the house. And, the girls continue to ask to bring it along for car rides, making long rides that much more enjoyable. I am familar with the band leader and head songwriter, Flea Dean Jones, as he has produced a handful of my family's favorite kid-friendly CD's from popular artists including the Okee Dokee Brothers, Joanie Leeds, Recess Monkey, which I have reviewed their CD's on my site in the past. But, I was surprised when I went through my girls' CD collection to find that we didn't own a CD from Dog on Fleas, seeing that this new CD release was their 8th release. But, after listening to it, I made a point to visit the Dog on Fleas website and order a few previous CD releases, so that I would have on hand for upcoming spring/summer car rides with the girls. I don't know about you, but long car rides seem more bearable when their is fun music to listen and sing along to. :-)
Even though my girls and I loved all the tracks that make up this new CD release, I have to say that their favorite and the one that is requested most often is "I Must Be a Genius," which you can hear with the following music video shared on YouTube:

I too love wholesome family music so I think this would be a good one to watch. I also think the name is super cuter and clever thanks for sharing.
