I have to say, while I loved the first movie a little bit more than this one, this new release is still really good. This is a great "gratitude" themed movie, and one that would fit right in with holiday movies or family night film's that will not only entertain, but also provide an opportunity for discussion afterwards. Family is a gift, and this movie shares this message is such a positive and moving way. Five stars!!

My Thoughts:
Fans of "The Ultimate Gift" will love this new movie, as it picks up where the previous movie leaves off. So much for happier ever after. Just when you think that Jason and Alexia will live happier ever after, after starting a foundation with Jason's grandfather's inheritance, leave it to his greedy relatives to want to take everything from him.
Thanks to a journal left my Red, Jason will not only learn about his grandfather and how he went from rags to riches, but in the end, he will also grow as a person. And, just like in "The Ultimate Gift," Red will teach Jason important life lessons that he can apply to his life, in the end realizing what is most important to him.
