Even though there is a 15 month difference between my girls, you would never know when you looked at them, as they are the same height and weight. People oftentimes confuse them for twins. :-) But, we are reminded that she is younger when she gets a cold or doesn't feel well, and can't tell how what it wrong, like Savannah does. Also, Arabella has been breaking in her side teeth and a molar, so she has been more irritable and fussy than normal. Arabella was never a big fan of binkies, but when she teethes, she always asks for them. Seeing that she is two years old now, we don't want her to grow dependent on a binkie, and have the struggle like we did with Savannah to give up the binkie. So, I have been looking for other teething toys, that she can cuddle with and chew on when the pain gets too bad.
As part of my Nuby review goodies sent this month, I was sent a cute Nuby Teether Tugz toy. The Nuby Teether Tugz come in either the butterfly (which I was sent), an elephant or rabbit with big floppy ears. As soon as Arabella saw the colorful butterfly, she couldn't help but give it a great big hug, and say "I love you!."
Never having used teethers like, as we would hand her the rubber ones you freeze, I had to show her that she could chew on the textured teething parts on the ends of the butterfly's wings. It took a few reminders and then a bad teething night for Bella to take to this teething tugz from Nuby, as she was afraid that by chewing on its wings, that the butterfly would be able to fly, and she didn't want to hurt it. That is our sensitive girl for you! :-)
But, since finding relief with the Nuby Teether Tugz when she needed it most, she now takes her butterfly friend with her everywhere she goes, and even sleeps with it. And, on those nights that she needs to soothe her sore, swollen gums, my husband and I find her snuggling with her cuddly friend, as she chews on the teething portion of the toy.
This teething toy would make for a great stocking stuffer for little ones who are or will be teething, or for toddlers who reach for a binkie when teether, and who you want to try to break the binkie habit. I am happy that our little one gets relief, while snuggling with this cute butterfly teether from Nuby.
