With young children at home, we are always looking for fun and creative activities to do, especially on cold or rainy days. But, the last thing I want to worry about is having to big up a big mess after an arts and crafts project, like ones that include glitter, glue or even finger paints. However, I know that art projects like these challenge a child's creativity, as they are free to design and create anything they like. So, I have been searching for a happy medium -- fun products that the kids will enjoy making an creating with, but also ones that make cleanup a breeze. And, I happy to say that I finally found that with Crayola's line of "My First Crayola" Mess-Free products.
After contacting the folks at Crayola about being apart of my holiday gift guide, they graciously sent along their My First Crayola Mess-Free Touch Lights for the girls to play with. As soon as I took it out of the box, it was such a hit that I sent my husband to the store that night to pick up another one, so the girls would each have their own to play with.
What is so great about the My First Crayola Mess-Free Touch Lights, which is great for toddlers, is that kids can use their fingers or the stylus that comes with light up pad to doodle and create awesome designs. As they move their fingers or stylus over the soft gel surface, bright lights illuminate, making this light up pad more fun. And, if that wasn't enough, kids have the option of having music play, as they doodle. The music plays as each new color appears -- which is pretty neat.
Unlike other art pads or toys, the My First Crayola Mess-Free Touch Lights doesn't require replacement paper or supplies -- except for the 3 AA batteries needed, which are not included). The compact size also makes it a great toy to take along for car rides, trips to the doctor or even brought to Nana and Papa's house.
I love being able to watch the girls create and draw with the light up pad, and get excited when they make things like a moon, a car, hearts, etc. They are so proud of their work, and love seeing that they can create anything. And, for me, I love that I don't have to worry about cleaning up finger paint or other art supplies after playtime is done. Instead, I simply switch the light pad to off and push the stylus into its slot on the back of the toy and store away. Then, when the girls want to play with it, they take it off the shelf, flip the switch to either lights and music, or just lights, and they are ready to go. This toy has provided countless hours of creative fun for the girls, with no signs of stopping. As a result of learning about this My First Crayola line from Crayola, I ended going out and picking up additional products shown below, all which don't require a messy clean up, which I love.
Now toddlers and preschoolers can create and have fun with arts and crafts thanks to the fun My First Crayola product line. Since receiving the Mess-Free Touch Lights and showing it off to family and friends, their children will be excited come Christmas, when they find one under the tree. It was such a hit with my girls, and parents who see this product think it is the coolest thing, so they have to rush out and get one for their little one.
So, if you are looking for creative toys to give your little one this holiday season, why not check out the My First Crayola product line, including the Mess-Free Touch Lights Pad. Your kids will love them, and you will love the easy cleanup. :-)
