My Thoughts:
Right as we were pulling out of the garage to head to the Disney Live show in Worcester, MA this afternoon, the UPS driver was pulling in. I don't know about you, but I love with the UPS or Fed-Ex driver comes, as I know they will be bringing something special, and not bills to pay. :-) And, my girls get excited to. Just last month, Savannah called the UPS driver Santa when he came to the door with an armful of packages, which contained toys and DVD's to review. You should have saw his face when she said, "Thanks, Santa." If Savannah wasn't already fastened into her car seat, she would have ran to see what was being dropped. But, for once I was able to to get the package. :-) It ended up being the recent NOW That’s What I Call Disney 2 CD, which released on Nov. 11th. I knew the girls would be excited to see this new CD and listen to it, but I was equally excited, as I love all things Disney. Even before I had my girls, I had started a DVD collection of some of my favorite Disney movies, along with classic titles, to share with my kids once they arrived. And, now I get to do just that -- and it is great! Savannah can't get enough of Cars and Toy Story, while Arabella is into all the princesses, including Rapunzel, Ariel and Belle.
I started reading the 20 tracks that make up this CD to the girls, and they kept asking for songs from their favorite Disney movies. Instead of having them fight over who gets to listen to what, I ended up playing the CD from track 1 through 20. As the songs played, the girls danced and sang in their car seats, while reciting quotes from the movies.
I have been a fan of NOW That’s What I Call Music CDs since they started releasing years ago. Limited edition CD's like the Disney ones are always my favorite. And, like the other NOW That’s What I Call CD's, the song selections are always great. I can't name one song on this new 20-track CD that wasn't fun to listen and sing along to. And, each song was well known and a favorite of both children and adults. I even found my husband singing along to the songs -- which doesn't happen that often.
Our car trip to and from Worcester was fun thanks to this new CD. And, just this evening, Savannah kept telling Arabella that when we go see Santa for the Polar Express train ride, that they can take turns choosing songs from the Disney CD to listen to. I see this CD getting a lot of play time both in the car and at home. And, one the snow starts falling and we need an activity to do -- the new NOW That’s What I Call Disney 2 CD will provide hours of dance and sing-a-long fun. :-)
