I don't know what happened...a couple of months ago, Savannah wanted to take a "big girl" shower, and was doing so with me without a problem.  But, then during one of our showers, she got tear-free shampoo in her eyes, while I was washing her hair, and she freaked out.  From that point on, she longer wanted to take a shower, or a bath for that point, as she knew she would get her hair washed, and wanted no part in it.

I tried everything to try and make her feel more comfortable having her hair washed.  Nana even tried to work her magic and give Savannah a bath and wash her hair, but Savannah freaked out for her to.  About to give up and use the waterless shampoo I used to use when I was undergoing cancer treatment, I was sent a weird looking thing -- it was the Nuby Shampoo Rinse Cup.  Now, I have seen these kinds of shampoo rinse pails/cups in stores, but never thought they worked.

That night during bath time, I showed Savannah the new toy, and let her hold it to her forehead, so that she could see it was soft.  I told her that this funny looking device would keep water out of her eyes.  She didn't believe...and why would she as she had never seen the Nuby Shampoo Rinse Cup before, nor saw it in action.  I ended up demonstrating the rinse cup on Bella first, so that Savannah could see how it worked.  Unfortunately, Bella is a mover and shaker, so the rinse cup didn't stay flush to the forehead, thus making the water stream down her face.  Ugg.  It took a few baths later and some begging and pleading for Savannah to let us try out the Nuby Shampoo Rinse Cup with her.  Then, our last resort...my husband bribed her.  He told her if she let us use this rinse cup, that she would get a surprise.  Liking surprising, she let us try it out.  And, by the end of her bath, she didn't want to get out of the tub.  She kept asking us to fill the rinse cup and pouring it over her hair, as the water or shampoo soap didn't get in her eyes. Yes!  Thanks, Nuby.

While there is still a little hesitation each time Savannah gets in the tub for a bath and needs her hair washed, she always reaches for the Nuby Shampoo Rinse Cup, for us to use.   So far, so good...no irritated eyes, and a more calm toddler when it comes to bath time. If you have a toddler/baby that doesn't like having their hair washed due to the fear of getting soap in their eyes, why not try out the Nuby Shampoo Rinse Cup?  I am so happy I had the opportunity to try out this product, and will definitely be including with baby shower gifts for now on, as it is a must for parents with little ones...and, it really works!
