One of the first things my daughters learned how to make when I introduced them to the kitchen and cooking is making sandwiches. Now I know sandwiches are not difficult to make...just add something to the middle of two pieces of bread. But, what to add...this is the creative part, that my girls and kids in general love to come up with. In our house, when we are pressed for time or Mommy forgot to take out dinner, we will have a sandwich night. Oftentimes it will be an assortment of cold cuts, grilled cheese, or everyone's favorite PB&J. But, on those occasions when the girls are in the kitchen helping me, they will come up with some fun sandwich creations, like a banana, raisin and cinnamon sugar with honey sandwich, or a Cobb salad sandwich which they make by rolling up ham and turkey slices for me to cut into pinwheels, and add sliced egg, bacon bits, sliced tomatoes and shredded lettuce. Yum!!! I am getting hungry just thinking about it. I guess we will be having sandwich night tonight! :-)
Now through Nov. 8th, Jif Peanut Butter is running a fun contest to find the Most Creative Sandwich. They are asking families to submit original sandwich recipes, which includes two tablespoons of your favorite Jif products, for a chance to win a $25,000 college fund, and a trip to NYC!

Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Jif. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
