My Thoughts:
I love when vintage television shows are picked up by motion picture companies and re-released on DVD and Blu-ray for fans to enjoy, and share with their families. This is the case with this upcoming Lionsgate title, Mumfie's White Christmas. I remember back in the early 90's, watching this series with the kids next doow, whom I babysat. You couldn't help but fall in love with Mumfie the elephant. And, the adventures Mumfie and his friends go on are a treat to watch.
So, when I heard that Lionsgate picked up the Mumfie's series and would be offering a selection of DVDs created by Britt Allcroft, who also created the ever popular Thomas and Friends series kids, including mine, are still watching today, I had to get my hands on a copy to review. And, this past weekend, the girls and I snuggled on the couch to watch this holiday DVD. Arabella quickly fell in love with Pinkey, the flying pig, while Savannah the cat lover was a fan of the magical black cat.
As I sat watching the holiday special and three bonus episodes, I couldn't help but rememeber back to watching this series years ago. I used to love Mumfie then, and fell in love with this cuddly elephant all over again, thanks to this upcoming DVD review. With catchy songs and great story lines, this is one series worth checking out. And, now that Lionsgate will be re-releasing episodes from this animated series, you can enjoy and build your Mumfie movie collection, like we will be doing.
Print out this cute coloring sheet of Mumfie for your little ones to color, as they wait for this DVD to release in stores.
