We haven't officially hit winter yet, and my hair is already feeling dried out and frizzy.  It doesn't help that I have been growing my hair for the past two years to cut and donate to one of the "Cancer Hair Donation Programs."  They require a minimum of 8 inches to be donated, and your hair has to be free of chemical coloring and healthy.  Right now, I have 12 inches of hair to donate, but need to bring it back to life before I head to the salon to have it cut.  I don't know about you, but I find myself needing to switch up hair care products every few months.  My hair seems to get accustomed to the shampoos and conditioners, and over time instead of feeling clean and looking shiny, it it dull and frizzy.  The hair care products seems to build up in my hair and leave for a greasy look and feel by the day's end.  

I oftentimes wondered if the more expensive the hair care product, the better?  But, after shelling out top dollar for so-called luxury hair care products, I didn't notice a real difference.  While the shampoo and conditioners had a great smell to the them, they always seemed to leave my thick hair feeling heavy and unmanageable.  Even with all the product I added, whatever I did to my hair would not last through the mid morning.  Because of this, I would find myself pulling my hair back into a ponytail, which really doesn't flatter my long oval face.  And, with my pale complexion and tired eyes from being up with the girls throughout the age, I would look older than I was. Ugg!

When it comes to caring for my hair and buying hair care products, I will be looking for the TRESemmé brand for now on.  No more breaking the bank on products that don't live up to the hype and price tag.
