I am a meat and potatoes kind of girl. Always have been, always will be. :-) And, even though I have been working all year on losing the excess baby weight I gained during my 2010 and 2011 pregnancies, I still can't say "no" to mashed potatoes or fries. Eeek, just typing the word "french fries," I know it is not a good food for someone looking to slim down their waistline. Or, is it? I always say, as I heard this repeatedly over the years by my mother and grandmother, that you can enjoy foods "in moderation." :-) So, when I am preparing the weekly menu for my family, I can't help but add a potato side dish to a handful of the meals.
Being a busy mom to two toddlers, there are times that I can't be in the kitchen peeling and cutting potatoes, and then watching as they boil on the stove. But, that doesn't mean we still can't enjoy potatoes with our meal. Even my picky eater, Savannah, loves the McCain Smiles fries. Like I have said in the past, Savannah loves to help out in the kitchen, especially when it comes to preparing meals. And, whenever I am using McCain potatoes as a side dish, she is there to help me mash the potatoes or line the smiley face french fries on the cookie sheet. Whenever I serve up McCain Smiles french fries, I don't have to worry about leftovers, as there are never any.
