My Thoughts:
Just in time for Halloween, these two new DVD collections from R.L. Stine's popular HUB Network series, will surely delight The Haunting Hour fans. My 10 and 12 yr. old nieces love this show, and have enjoyed the previous volume releases from Shout Factory! So, it was only fitting that I had them help me review these two new DVD releases. They were so excited when they heard I had the DVDs, and couldn't wait to have a sleepover last weekend to watch them.
We waited for my daughters to go to bed, and then popped some popcorn, and settled in to be scared. Well, we were actually scared watching these episodes, but I have to say they sure are spooky. I can see why tweens/teens love this series so much. :-) We ended up staying up late Friday and Saturday nights in order to get both DVD collections in. Each DVD contained 5 episodes, as well as fun bonus features including original show promos and my nieces' favorite "A Look Behind the Screams." As we watched this bonus feature, I kept hearing them say, "Oh, that is how they did that" or "Cool!"
Overall, we had a blast watching these two new DVD releases from R.L. Stine. My nieces plan to watch these DVD's again, as Halloween approaches, and share when they have sleepovers with their friends. Who doesn't like a good scary story? You will get 5 scary stories with each of these new DVD releases from Shout! Factory, while enjoying time with family and friends.

My son used to love to read these books when he was in that age group. I think he would love to sit back as you did and watch. He has quite the DVD collection and these would make a great addition!
