My Thoughts:

Do you love Hallmark Channel movies?  Right now, I am counting down the days until their annual Christmas movies, as it has become tradition for my mom and I to watch them either together (when we have the chance), or solo and then talk about them.  I grew up having mommy and me nights with my mom, where we would watch Sunday night Hallmark movies.  While my father took my brothers to the movies or bowling, my mom and I would snack on popcorn and sweets, while she let me put on makeup and do her hair.  She is probably thankful I didn't take photos back them, as I wasn't much of a cosmetologist at 12 yrs. old. :-)

And, now that I am grown and have daughters of my own, I can't wait to share my love for Hallmark Channel movies with them, and create memories like I have with my mom.  But, in the meantime, I continue to have my mother over when new Hallmark Channel movies air, so that we can watch together, or pick up DVDs like this new Double Feature, to share and talk about.

Surprising my mother and I never saw these two double features, so we were in for a treat this afternoon, when we sat down to watch them.  If you didn't see my post on Facebook, I spent the better part of Sunday night with Savannah at the ER, as Arabella threw a bubble gun at her and ended up leaving a laceration in the middle of Savannah's forehand, which needed to be glued shut.  Not fun -- but, I guess there is never a dull moment when you have kids.  When my parents heard I was taking Savannah to the ER, they rushed down to my house from their summer home in NH, which was 3 hrs. away to be with us.  And, today, as Savannah laid around per the doctors ordered, my mom and I found quiet time, while my dad entertained Bella.  Looking for something to do to pass the time while Savannah napped, I showed my mom this Double Feature DVD to see if she wanted to watch it. 

I didn't think we would watch both movies, but after getting into and loving Meddling Mom, we had to watch Sweeter Side of Life, to see if it was just as good -- and it was! :-)  While both of these movies are Dove Approved and considered family friendly, I would categorize them as Chick films.  I showed my husband them the other day to see if he wanted to watch them with me, and he passed. But, if you are like my mom and I and love Hallmark Channel movies, you will love this new Double Feature.  And, with about 180 minutes combined running time, you will probably find yourself sitting through both movies.  For me, it was hard to choose a favorite between the two, as they each were entertaining.  I do have to say that I found myself laughing at and talking more about Meddling Mom with my mom, and relating parts of the movies to similar situations in my life, where she meddled in. :-)
