I was recently sent this upcoming DVD collection, which arrives in stores on July 16th, to review with the girls.  We are no strangers to LeapFrog toys and DVD's.  If you were to visit our house, you would think that we were a LeapFrog retailer, as we have some many of their wonderful educational products.  :-)  When I heard about this upcoming DVD, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy to watch with the girls.  And, I was especially excited when the folks at Lionsgate Home Entertainment offered this complete 4 DVD collection for one lucky reader to win.

Scout and Violet are LeapFrog's two popular characters, and have dozens of products available centered around each.  I was happy to see a DVD collection that included these two lovable characters together in one place.  Like other LeapFrog DVD's, this new DVD set is jam packed with fun, educational content, that will surely delight even the youngest of viewers.  Viewers are introduced to math, the alphabet, word building, counting and more.  As a parent, I love how the folks at LeapFrog use music and fun animation to teach children the necessary skills for pre-school and beyond.

We ended up watching the complete 4 DVD set while away last week on vacation.  It was too hot in the AM to go out, so we had to find something to do to keep the girls busy and entertained.  This DVD provided approximately 160 minutes of fun and learning.  Savannah couldn't help but show off her counting and alphabet reciting skills -- and Nana and Papa couldn't be prouder! :-)  I was happy to see how engaged Arabella was in viewing each of the DVD's.  She even added a few new words to her growing vocabulary, while Savannah was able to put more complete sentences together, thanks to these DVD's.

If you have young children between the ages of 2-5 yrs. old, and are looking for an affordable educational series that really does work, why not pick up this upcoming DVD set. You can go wrong for the price -- 4 DVDs for only $29.98.  These DVDs would also make for a great refresher course for pre-schoolers entering Kindergarten in the fall.
