A New Kids iPad Case from Apple Pie -- Made from 100% Recyclable Material Here in the USA (Review)

Do you kids use your iPad?  Ever since Savannah started sitting up, she was using her Daddy's iPad.  And,  now it is filled with all kids apps. :-)  Because of how expensive an iPad is, we need to make sure we have the device protected from getting damaged from drops and scratches.  Having said this, we have gone through our fair share of iPad case, which ended up not working well.  Most recently, we were send a unique iPad case from Apple Pie to review.

Apple Pie

I have to say that they had a good idea when it came to trying to create an inexpensive iPad case, that would be durable and functional.  It was a plus to see it was made in the USA and was made out of 100% recyclable material.  But, because my girls are still young, the case didn't provide the necessary protection we needed for toddler/pre-schooler use.  Arabella tried picking at the cardboard, while Savannah took her crayons to the front and inside cover of the iPad case.  This case is made to protect iPad cases from small drops and scratches, but not for use with young children.  My girls time and again have dropped their Daddy's iPad off the bed, or played with their toys on top of the screen.  Because of this, we have a film protecting the screen from being scratched, and have found that using a pillow or plastic iPad case is a much better choice for our house.

When the girls are not using the iPad, I have found my husband slipping his iPad into this case from Apple Pie.  He likes the look and feel of it, and especially loves how there are opening for pushing buttons and attaching the battery charger to.  And, because it is made out of 100% recyclable material, he can use the blank canvas of the cardboard iPad case to jot down quick notes or web addresses he wants to visit again, as well as doodle as he waits for a page to load.  He can't do this with other iPad cases.

While I see the effort made to made a great iPad case for kids, I feel that this unique iPad case would appeal more towards adults who like modern or unique products, or products from American brands.

What do you think?  Would you purchase this kids iPad case, which is currently on sale for $16.99 for a 3-pack (less than $5.67 each)?  These iPad cases are sold and shipped in 3-packs of either brown kraft, or white - exclusively from www.ApplePieUSA.com.  I would love to hear what you think, so leave me a comment below. :-)

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. I agree that it is geared more for adults. We don't have an ipad so not too sure I'd use if we did
