While my husband loves to grill, I think I am the Grillmaster in our house.  :-)  I love the summer, not only for the warm weather and family trips, but also because we love having cookouts and grilling food out on the back deck.  But, when it gets too hot, not only do I not want to cook and clean up, but the kids also get fussy.  So, to make dinner plans easier, we usually order take out.  So, when I heard that KFC has brought back their Kentucky Grilled Chicken the other day, I knew just the place to take the girls Friday night. :-)

As we pulled into the parking lot, we saw the photos on the window of their $3.99 Kentucky Grilled Chicken Meal Deal. The meal included two pieces of KFC’s grilled chicken (Usually breast and thigh or breast and drumstick) – freshly prepared and slow grilled to juicy perfection – along with one side item and a biscuit.  While my girls' usually love the Lil Bucket kids meal, we opted to keep ordering simple, and asked for four of the $3.99 meal deals.  I got mine with a side of cole slaw, my husband chose potato wedges, while Savannah opted for mac and cheese and Arabella went with mashed potatoes and gravy.  For under $25, including drinks for my husband and I, we were able to have a delicious meal, without the hassle of cooking and cleaning up.

Usually the girls can only eat a drumstick or thigh from KFC, but having never tried the Kentucky Grilled Chicken, they had no idea what they were in store for -- and, ended up eating both pieces of chicken. :-)  While I am a fan of the crispy chicken, I can't help but love KFC's Kentucky Grilled chicken.  The chicken is so moist and juicy, complete with grill marks.  Mmm, I am getting hungry just thinking about it.

Now that we know the girls love the Kentucky Grilled Chicken just as much as we do, we will definitely be paying another visit to KFC soon to get our KFC Grilled Chicken fix.  So, if you are fans of Kentucky Grilled Chicken, you will want to make a point to stop by your local KFC soon to dine in, or bring some home for dinner to your family, and take advantage of the $3.99 meal deal going on right now, for a limited time. :-)

Enter the KFC's 2013 Grillmaster Challenge Contest to win a 4th of July Catered Family Picnic

This summer, KFC wants to recognize those dads or moms with outstanding grilling skills. Now, grillers can show off their skills in KFC's 2013 Grillmaster Challenge Contest. Five winners who have smoking hot skills behind the grill will enjoy a catered Kentucky Grilled Chicken family picnic to celebrate July 4 (now dubbed Independence-from-the-Backyard-Grill Day), as well as being inducted into the KFC Grillmaster Hall of Fame. The five expert grillers will also receive the Ultimate Grillmaster Accessory Kit, which includes a personalized apron and barbecue tools worthy of a Grillmaster.

The KFC Grillmaster Challenge kicked off on June 14 and runs until June 27. To enter, prospective Grillmasters can submit Vine videos or photos via Twitter or Instagram with #KFCgrillmaster. Submissions can show off awesome grilling setups, share tips for grilling success, feature grillers' special techniques or show the end result of their grilling. So, what are you waiting for?
