My Thoughts:
Did you know that Martha Stewart has her own cartoon? I was only made aware of this last year, when I reviewed a holiday DVD of Martha & Friends from Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment. After posting my review, I couldn't believe the feedback from readers, who ended up picking up this DVD to watch with their children. They loved the holiday stories, with arts and crafts mixed into them. And, with this DVD being $6.99 or less, it also made for a great stocking stuffer gift idea.
My girls both enjoyed the Martha & Friends holiday DVD, so I couldn't wait to share the upcoming July 2nd release, "Martha and Friends: Summer Fun" with them. This DVD includes bonus webisodes from the Martha & Friends series, as well as downloadable craft projects and recipes that children of all ages will enjoy doing with parents.
Earlier today I shared a review of Martha Stewart's new craft book for kids, and talked on how either you love or hate Martha Stewart. But, either way you have to give her credit for the recipes and fun and unique craft ideas she comes up with. She spares no expense when it comes to the fun crafts and recipes she shares on this upcoming DVD. From scrapbooks, sun print cards, seashell wind chimes and paper lanterns, to a fun S'mores To Go box, you and your child will have fun crafting this summer, when the rain hits, or you are just looking for a fun way to spend time together.
The girls and I watched this DVD the other day, and ended up making the paper lantern craft. You should have seen how excited Savannah was when the paper lantern was made and decorated. She said it was her Tangled lantern, and asked that we hang it in her room. :-) When we weren't crafting with Martha's fun and easy downloadable craft instructions/projects, we were enjoying watching Martha and her friends enjoy the 4th of July and prep for back to school (which I know kids don't want to think about right now, as school lets out for summer).
This is one DVD that is worth picking up to share with children, as they will love the easy to follow along story lines, and want to give Martha's craft projects a try.
