 Pleased To Meet You

Have you heard of Key Wilde and Mr. Clarke?  I hadn't, until I was recently send their new CD titled Pleased To Meet You (Due out on May 21st).  I was drawn to the CD as they have a new song and video that will jump-start learning the alphabet in a fun and musical way: "Animal Alphabet".

Here is Key Wilde's fancifully illustrated music video, "Animal Alphabet":

Once I watched this music video, I had to get my hands on a copy of the upcoming CD release.  Right now we are getting Savannah ready for pre-school in the fall, and one of the things she is learning is her alphabet.  We have been using puzzles, fun songs and music videos to help making learning the alphabet fun for her.  As I watching the above video, Savannah came over to my computer and began reciting the alphabet.  She had me replay the video half a dozen times, as she couldn't get enough of the fun, colorful "Animal Alphabet" video, which pairs animals with each letter of the alphabet.  Savannah kept laughing and smiling as she saw the animals making each letter and coming to life in certain sequences.  What a fun way to teach the alphabet.  Even Arabella got in on the fun, and was pointing to the animals making up the alphabet in this video.  And, that night when my husband got home, Savannah wanted to show him the "Animal Alphabet" video, and began singing the complete alphabet from A-Z, along with the video, and telling my husband the different animals and the colors she saw.

While "Animal Alphabet" was the girls' favorite song from this new album, as it is so catchy, they also enjoyed the other tracks, which include:

1. Pleased To Meet You
2. Animal Alphabet
3. Raised By Trolls
4. Wander Round the World
5. Bigga Bagga
6. Railroad Medley
7. Lazy Raisins
8. King of the Town
9. Conversation
10. Eggplant Man
11. Chuckers
12. Candyman
13.Trondaxx Berzerker
14. Take Ten
15. Falling Star

How do you teach your children the alphabet?  I would love to hear your stories (even the funny ones).  Maybe I will get some more ideas on how to teach Arabella when she gets a little older. But, in the meantime, we have this video saved on the phone, and I continue to play the 15 tracks from this upcoming CD release, for the girls and I to sing and dance along to.  I am so glad I was introduced to Key Wilde and Mr. Clarke.  This is definitely one children's artist we will be watching for more releases from. :-)
