If you are a parent, then you probably have your phone and camera filled with videos and pictures of your children. For me, I have a various online photo storage accounts set up and filled with the girls photos and videos of their firsts (like walking, talking, eating solids, etc). But, I am always looking for new and fun ways to turn these photos and videos into something memorable, that can be shared with family and friends. And, with Mother's Day right around the corner, I thought it would be a great idea to make a photos of the girls to share with my mom, so she can see how they have grown.
Have you heard of Magisto? I stumbled across their website last year when looking for an online movie making site. And, after trying out their demo, I was hooked. Since then, whenever I have been in need of a unique movie of your videos and photos, set to music. It really is pretty neat. Now, I am not a video editor by any means, but when using Magisto, the final product always comes out professionally done. You would swear either I was a video editor, or paid top dollar for the customized styles and music of each profession quality personal movie turned out by Magisto.
"Driven by artificial intelligence and simple user experience, Magisto is an ecosystem for creating and sharing professional quality personal movies. It automatically selects the most compelling moments and, like an expert video editor, weaves them together to convey a story with customized styles and music. Magisto can be used across iOS, Android and the Web, and is the highest-rated video creation app in Google Play and iOS App stores."
I was excited to find out that Magisto is now available as an app for Android and iPhones. Now, I can create professional quality videos on the go. Yes! I can't tell you how handy this will come in after a day at the zoo, park, or museum. Usually, I am loading photos to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and videos to YouTube for family and friends to see. But, now, I simply have to log in to my Magisto account and within minutes turn my videos into masterpieces! :-)
In addition to sharing Magisto with you, I also wanted to pass along information about the Magisto Mother's Day Contest and Charitable Partnership with Joan Osborne.

Foundation and Save the Children. The Magisto team will be at the concert to create and share videos of the special evening and the company will make a donation to the two charities. I will definitely be entering some of my Magisto movies I have created, and will be making after this weekend. How about you? I have always been a fan of Joan Osborne, and just love her song, "Born to See You Through." I couldn't help but tear up as I listened to it, as I know how special being a mom is. This upcoming Mother's Day weekend is going to be bittersweet, as it will also mark my 5 yrs. out of cancer treatment. I have shared in the past that doctors told me prior to and during cancer treatment that I would not be able to have children due to the high dose chemo and radiation treatments I was having. But, fast forward 5 years -- not only will I be deemed "in remission" by doctors when they see me the end of the month, but I be holding my two beautiful girls close, as I celebrate being a Mom. Life couldn't get any better! And, thanks to Magisto, I will be able to create some amazing family movies that I can treasure for years to come.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your phone and download the Magisto app today. Here is just an example of the types of Magisto videos you can create -- this was made with video footage I took of Savannah when she was a year old, dancing around to one of her favorite songs on television.
I can 't believe how fast time has gone by. She looks so tiny in this video. Oh, how I miss those days. But, I am loving seeing her grow, start talking more and being a big sister to Arabella. Just tonight as we were getting the girls ready for bed, Savannah leaned over to Arabella and whispered in her ear, "I have a secret -- I love you, Sissa!" Then, she followed up with a big hug and kiss. My heart melted as I watched them interact together, and at that moment, I couldn't help but tear. I have always wanted to be a mom, but after doctors told me otherwise, I always prayed for a miracle. And, now I get to watch my two miracles interact like this every day. Ahh, the joys of being a Mom!
