Arriving on DVD on June 11th -- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie's The Wizard Of Dizz -- Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure:  I was sent a copy of this DVD from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views shared are mine and mine alone.

While my daughters are huge fans of all the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang, they especially love Minnie and Mickey Mouse.  So, when they saw this new DVD to review, they went crazy, seeing Minnie Mouse front and center.  Then, Savannah asked me why Mickey Mouse was grey and had no color.  At first, she thought that he was sick or that the cover of the DVD was "bad."  Then, I shared the story of the Wizard of Oz and how there was a Tin Man in the movie -- and, how this is a rendition of this classic film with all their favorite Clubhouse friends.

With the hot weather we had this afternoon, I used this time to keep the girls in our lower level where it is cooler, and limit their time outdoors.  So, this movie was a great filler for an afternoon of fun, that kept they engaged and happy to be indoors.

Here is a clip from the movie that introduces viewers to the Tin Mouse, played by Mickey Mouse.  When Savannah saw this, she understood why he was grey.  :-)

In addition to this cute movie, this upcoming DVD release (set to release in stores on June 11th), also includes two additional full length episodes -- "The Golden Boo Boo" and "Goofy's Gone."  And, if that wasn't enough this DVD also includes 10 Minnie's Bow-Toon Shorts, and the Minnie Bow-Maker App (which we have on our iPad and the girls play with daily).  When Savannah saw the Minnie shorts as the bonus feature, her eyes lit up.  And, this evening, while we were putting her sister to bed, Savannah laid on the couch and watched each and every Minnie short.  When the last short ended, she turned to me, and asked if we could watch this DVD again tomorrow.  I know this will not be the last time I hear this, as all of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVDs we own are always playing in our house and brought along for long car rides. :-)

Personally, I have to say that this full length adventure starting Minnie and the rest of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang was thorough enjoyable, and is a great way to introduce little ones to the classic movie The Wizard of Oz.  I know that my girls are too young to really appreciate this classic movie right now, but with the help of Minnie and friends, they are able to get a taste for The Wizard of Oz.  Fans of Chip and Dale will love seeing them in the film, as they take on the role of the "chipmunchins."  Also included in this fun Dizzy adventure is Pete as the Bad Witch and Clarabelle.  Little ones, along with parents will be laughing and cheering on the gang, and hoping that Minnie and Pluto make it home safe and sound, after a visit to the land of Dizz.  All Minnie has to do is click her green slippers together, right?  I will not spoil the ending -- you will have to pick up a copy of this upcoming DVD release from Disney, when it arrives in stores on June 11th, to see for yourself.  :-)
