Synopsis:

"Doc McStuffins: Time for Your Check Up!,” the second DVD compilation for Disney Junior’s hit animated TV series “Doc McStuffins,” will debut May 7, 2013.  A must-add to the family viewing collection, the DVD comes packaged with 5 fun-filled episodes and a FREE growth chart.

2012's #1 cable TV series in Kids 2-5, "Doc McStuffins" tells the story of a nurturing six-year-old girl who heals stuffed animals and broken toys out of her backyard playhouse clinic.  Assisting Doc at the clinic are her trusty team of lovable stuffed animals including: Stuffy, an overly proud dragon; Lambie, her  cuddly best friend lamb; Hallie, a jolly and caring  hippo nurse; and Chilly, a snowman who spends a lot of time getting check-ups at the clinic.  Whether it's a case of loose stitching, low batteries or a blow-up toy who has sprung a leak, Doc and her pals are always there to lend a helping hand, while imparting to young viewers the importance of taking care of oneself and others."

My Thoughts:
If you have young girls in your house, then you probably have seen Doc McStuffins on Disney Jr. This show, which began airing last year, has become an instant favorite of everyone who watches it, especially mom girls.  This past Christmas Santa brought the girls a handful of hard-to-find Doc McStuffins toys and plush animals, which they continue to play with day in and day out.  When the girls are not tuning in daily to watch a Doc McStuffins episode, they can get their Doc McStuffins fix by watching repeat episodes through the Disney Jr. app on my husband's iPad, as well as this and the other Doc McStuffins DVD which released previously.

This new DVD release contains 5 favorite Doc McStuffins epsiodes including

1.  Gulpy, Gulpy Gators!/One Note Wonder
2.  Tea Party Tantrum/Blast off!
3.  Arcade Escapade/Starry, Starry Night
4.  Bronto Boo-Boos/Brontosaurus Breath
5.  Doctoring The Doc/Hot Pursuit

It is hard to say which of the 5 episodes my daughters love more, as they have watched this DVD from start to finish over a dozen times since receiving a couple of weeks ago.  They do like the Tea Party Tantrum episode, which deal with Doc and her friend staying up late and not being able to function properly the next day.  Doc pours OJ in her cereal, and her favorite dolly, Susie Sunshine, who is cranky because she hasn't been able to sleep due to stinky eye lids.  Doc does what she does best and fixes Susie up.  And, after a good nap, Susie Sunshine is ready to hug again and have a tea party with Doc and the other stuffed animals.

In Gulpy, Gulpy Gators, Doc ends up fixing Donny's gator game, which becomes broken.  It turns out one of the gators overate and had a tummy ache.  What a cute episode that teaches children about eating in moderation and not overeating, as it will probably cause a tummy ache.  As a parent, this is why I love this animated series from Disney Junior.  Not only do the kids find entertainment in Doc McStuffins bringing her stuffed animals to life with a touch of her stethoscope, but each episode teaches a lesson, and always shares with little ones the importance of friendship, sharing, teamwork, etc.

As I am writing this review, the girls are watching this DVD yet again. ;-)  And, you know what, I don't mind it, as this show is really entertaining, especially the stuffed animals with their cute names like Stuffy, Lambie, Hallie and Chilly.

So, if you have a Doc McStuffins fan in your house, then you will want to make sure to pre-order a copy of "Doc McStuffins: Time for a Check Up" today, or pick up this DVD when it becomes available in stores on May 7th.
